I don't believe how Mayorga didn't give Trinidad credit for a single thing. I find it amazing that he says Cotto hit harder than Tito. I guess Tito F'd him up so badly that he can't remember the fight.

Bramble not mentioning Rosario anywhere cracked me up. Rosario obliterated what was peak Bramble in under 2 roounds, dropping him hard and bringing out some dog in him. It's feasible the bigger KT might hit harder than the immensely powerful Rosario but to then also mention Mayweather and still no Rosario just reeks. Bramble was somehow ranked #3 P4P when Rosario devastated him and his career was downhill ever after.

Witherspoon not mentioning Pinklon Thomas once. As usual the best guys were the ones he beat.

Azumah Nelson rating Mario Martinez as the best he's faced takes the cake for me. Salvador Sanchez, Pernell Whitaker and even Jeff Fenech didn't rate a mention in any other category either.

Laughable really especially in light of how easily Whitaker schooled him.

Duran not saying Hearns was the hardest puncher he fought. That speaks for itself no matter what he says. I noticed some guys do not give credit to the guys who really beat them up. Hearns never said Hagler was his toughest fight, which I found odd since Tommy was knocked out. He said Roldan was his toughest.. I would think a loss is harder than a win. But these guys answer what they answer.

Duran not giving Hearns credit as the hardest puncher he ever faced I also thought was the most laughable.

If you read the preceding section briefly describing Bramble's overall career before his choices are discussed, there's a small bit about the Rosario fight.

" He met former WBC belt holder Edwin Rosario and this time Bramble was the 4-1 favourite. After a good opening round, Bramble was caught by a thumb to the eye, went down and was counted out."

LOL! Clearly the ring.com interviewer was either blind or was coerced by Bramble to write that. That was a brutal KO. It seemed that Bramble was shook up every time Rosario landed. Maybe he was hit so hard, he still hasn't recovered or if he was honest, he was so embarrassed that he was so brutally taken out that his pride won't let him admit what really happened?

Interestingly (for me at least) is that one of the more aggravating characters in my time watching boxing in Vinny Paz comes across in these articles as one of the more humble, open, honest and likeable interviewees.

    Go figure.

Yeah i did read that bit Ken. There's something fishy going on for sure. Bramble is definitely in denial. Stands out like the proverbial.

I recently skimmed over the most recent Ring mag, which had Ruben Olivares on the spotlight doing his 'Best I've faced'. And of all these I have read I thought his was one of the most honest because he cited several fighters who beat him over the years and gave them full credit. He named Chucho Castillo, Art Hafey, Alexis Arguello, Eusebio Pedroza and Bobby Chacon to specific categories rather than just guys he handled. I'm sorry that I don't have it in front of me or I would have named them all.

I'm actually surprised that Holyfield said that Bowe was the very best he faced. I'd imagine him picking someone that he beat to say he was the best.
