There is no doubt in my mind whatsoever that Joshua has a severe problem with stamina. I don't know whether its nerves or incorrect training or even effects of being on the juice, but one thing is for sure, this is a real serious problem for Joshua and he will get found out.

Any of the other serious HW's in the division must be licking their lips in anticipation of getting Joshua beyond round 9. I mean how does he get so fatigued like this? Even in the earlier rounds he shows signs of fatigue, its not as if he's loading up. Frickin weird how someone who self labels himself as the ultimate professional can be so out on his feet in the last quarter of a 12 round fight without a massive energy output, i'm dumbfounded.

Remind me what round did he stop Klitchko in?

He threw more punches in round 9 than in 1,2 or 3.

He threw more punches than Takam in every single round, often double the amount.

Yeah but he was out on his feet in the earlier rounds and do we really see on camera what goes on the corners between rounds on Matchroom events?? From somewhere he got a major boost of energy in that Klitchko fight, i'm not saying there's shananigons going on, but there's something going on and he's got real stamina issues.

Maybe its just nerves, maybe the whole expectation gets to him and he is real good at hiding it. Grinning at your opponent is a sure fire sign of nerves, especially after being hit. You would never see someone like Barrera grinning at an opponent like Joshua does. Hamed was the same, he was full of nerves and concealed it as well by grinning. Yeah i think its nerves and he's just really good at concealing it. Maybe its just me that sees this.

He barely survived that fight. That was more Wladimir´s loss than Joshuas win.

Everyone seems to be missing the fact he was fighting with a broken nose. Of course he is going to breath through his mouth.

What do you want him to do? Suffocate?

Its not just this fight Jeremy. He has a history of showing signs of fatigue. Last night the ref blatantly found ways to aid giving AJ a breather. What about when he got Takam's cut checked at the beginning of a round? Why not get the doc to check it in between rounds? All while Joshua lent back on the ropes in the opposite corner for another 30 secs blowin out his ass.

    Stop moving the goalposts.

So this stamina issue in championship rounds you talk of has happened in how many fights?

If he was devoid of stamina in those rounds he wouldn't of stopped Vlad like he did. He wouldn't of found the energy.

For a heavily-muscled bloke he has good stamina.

For a standard heavyweight he has below par stamina.

It'll only be his undoing when/if he fights a solid-chinned busy fighter who carries a bit of a dig.

Team Joshua are going to have to adjust the PED intake.

Why do people constantly have a dig at AJ for doing PEDs, when you have confirmed drug cheats like the Furys and Povetkin who get a free ride round here.

I think his stamina was OK last night. There were times he looked tired but he never gassed out like he has before. People said Lewis had stamina issues because he sometimes looked tired in fights but he always went the distance without any issues.

But stamina is an issue for Joshua like it was for Wlad early in his career. Luckily for him I doubt many would want to pressure him hard for the full 12 rounds because that would mean consistently walking into that power and that uppercut.

I think AJ would be more dominant if

    * he picked his shots better. He throws too many air holes, it costs a lot of energy
    * he lost 8-9 lbs. That will make a huge difference in the last third of the fight without losing much of his punching power.
