I imagine it still sold well, so there's no prompting Hearn to try to change it. Poor on paper, poor in reality with a main event ruined by a British stoppage. Poorly run, which is something that Warren normally get **** for. But hey they played Sweet Caroline...

 

I feel for the 70,000 who paid for tickets. Hearn had some leeway because the Klitschko card was such a good event but he's used that leeway up now. Boxing fans aren't stupid and if Hearn attempts to pull a **** ppv card like that again then stadiums will stop filling, Joshua or not. It was a ****-poor card from top to bottom.

Tbh stadiums are terrible for boxing who ever is boxing.

Most boring boxing event I've been to. Not even the punters were battering each other as it was casual Joshua pussies.

 

Well i like your conviction but you're wrong. You make it sound like Joshua could fill out Wembley again even in a rematch with Michael Sprott.

 

But he isn't going to fight at Wembley vs Sprott is he.

You are assuming his going be fighting the worst of the worst when nothing suggests this will be the case.

 

Precisely. Whether the 'boxing fans' approve of Eddies PPV shows or not is irrelevant because they are such a tiny part of the audience. Its the casuals that are filling the stadiums and buying the events on BoxOffice.
The only way this gravy train derails is if AJ takes a few losses and his profile drops, but at the minute he is gold and all of his events will sell out no matter what the undercard looks like.

 

No but he could fight Takam again in a rematch and i guarantee you that would not fill Wembley. AJ against the Champ would sell out Wembley and perhaps Parker just because of the other belt and if Haye beats Bellew convincingly then there's another stadium filler. Apart from that, unless Fury comes back there are no other AJ fights to be worthy of a 60,000+ seat stadium attendance. If Hearn keeps putting AJ in big stadiums to fight mandatories then the shows over i'm afraid because fans will wise up.
