I definitely think if fury gets hearn on favourable terms then all of a sudden the bboc and ukad will suddenly get there act together and he will get his licence back. Too much money involved for this not to happen. Love him or hate him hearn is the man when it comes to this
He has not got his licence back and has not claimed on twitter to have a licence. He thanked the bbboc for "giving him the green light to box in 2018" after they issued statements in the media saying they were keen to get his UKAD date set and wanted to help him return if fit and healthy. Fury might have misunderstood OR he understands and was thanking them for their expressed intentions to sort it all out. It's a little worrying that this seems to be taking place in the light of Eddie Hearn's statements after the Joshua Takam fight that he wants to work with Tyson Fury. It seems the money machine is very keen to get Fury lined up for Joshua. The problem is Fury is about 100 pounds over his fighting weight. Think about that a minute. If the bbboc are serious they ought to insist Fury gets his weight down before issuing a licence. A rule that should probably be in place for heavyweights anyway. Fury's weight by itself isn't really the issue, it's the fact that he's spent the last 6 or 7 months vacillating between false training regimens and statements he's retired. I wouldn't trust the guy to get himself in shape. Give him a licence and we might see a real gross spectacle of blubber, something I'm not keen on. Hopefully I'm wrong and he's in training right now and on the salads.
Looking at it there seems to be more hudles yet but hopefully he does come back in 2018 The sport is much better with him
Why hasn't he sued them already? I don't understand how they didn't even try, ffs this Is a bloke capable of earning 20+ mill a year and he has been denied the right to earn a living. If Fury comes back and rules he will go down as the goat, it will be the stuff of legend. Fury is a great character and I actually think Wilder and AJ fights would be legitimately quality fights if he was 100%. Fury has had some snooze but a lot of that has to do with the negativity of his opponents. I actually thought the Cunningham fight was pretty exciting, Fury hysterical broke his heart, but Cunningham came to fight. Wilder and AJ would go for the ko, no way either dies wondering imo, they are too hungry
Everyone would sue them blind if the situation really was as team Fury made it out to be. So you can assume there's a lot more to it, and they aren't really sure that they would actually win that case. Actually, with what we know at this time, I even doubt he'd have a case.
It wouldn't bother me if he never set foot in another ring I'm bore sh*tless by his constant contradictions ,the guy needs to grow up FFS!
He's a good boxer and ought to be boxing, making the most of his talents. I don't care about the rest of it. (Unfortunately modern boxing is 99% full of childish personalites and childish behaviour, or perhaps I'm just an old man)
Possibly. He'd have to get himself in shape and some tune-ups first though. Fury's going to have difficulty regaining the form of 2014-'15. Look what he's done to himself.
This is Fury's umpteenth return announcement. They've all been as bogus as hell and this one is as well. All that's happened is that the BBBoC has encouraged him to set a hearing date with UKAD, nothing more and nothing less.
Ill be glad to see Tyson back in the ring. I hope he can shake off the ring rust and get himself back into shape. He might not be what he once was, but he's still got enough in him to beat most of the guys out there. Maybe, we might see a rematch with Williams and McBride?
