Not sure one can say they are winning the battle. The majority of Premier League football still lies with Sky and the CL I don't think has resulted in people quitting Sky Sports for BT. The ratings for CL games suggest it isn't the draw people think it is.

Now of course BT are a major threat when it comes to bidding for sporting rights and they can win like they have done with Cricket Australia for example.

However if we look at Sport and the big key sporting they still lie with Sky.

Golf - Ryder Cup and Majors. Sky
    Motor Racing - F1. Sky
Rugby Union - England Internationals and Lions Tour - Sky
Boxing - Biggest draw in the Sport (Anthony Joshua) - Sky
Football - Majority of EPL games - Sky. Football League - Sky. Champions League & FA Cup - BT
Cricket - All domestic and International Cricket played in England - Sky

Its not about having everything as not all sports drive Subscriptions. The key events are important and BT as well as Sky both appreciate there needs to be some kind of correction in the market as the inflation for Sports rights is getting silly.

The Premier League and CL football rights are overpriced.

The Only way BT can be number one in the UK for Boxing,is if they get Joshua. They have obviously can offer him more money than Sky,i have seen interviews with Warren attempting to stir things up by saying AJ will go Independent soon as his contract is winding down with Matchroom. If that does happen he needs to sign a Tv Network for i presume AJ Bxing which includes Buatsi and Okolie. If BT bid by an excessive amount in the same way CBS did over HBO for Mayweather, maybe their is a small chance, but i see him signing a promotional deal with Matchroom, that enables him to remain on Sky Sports, but Hearn wont handle things like US Networks for AJ as he does now,or handling matchups.

I was thinking scott quigg and/or ohara davies would be next...

Quigg maybe tempted over by the frampton/selby/warrington fights.

A lot of fighters after a loss (2 consecutive losses in Brook’s case) tend to want to make changes in trainers, Managers and promoters, etc. so it wouldn’t surprise me at all.
