    But if he is making good money, why not? Not every fighter is in it for the glory, but they are in it for the money.
    And Alvarez is getting what he wants.

    Plus both Alvarez and Stevenson are with GYM.

    Alvarez's endless step-asides mean that Stevenson can fight whoever he wants ... no dangerous mandatories like Gvozdyk, Beterbiev, Bivol, Kovalev, Barrera, etc. to deal with.

    The WBC should really be removing Alvarez from the #1 spot if he keeps stepping aside. Then they can order a real mandatory rather than a fake place-holder who merely receives step-aside money.

    seems like collusion to me. Both Adonis & Eleider are content with their positions. Adonis milking his belt and Eleider enjoying those step aside cheques. it will probably take a new hungry contender to defeat Alvarez of his mando position.

    This sounds more fun, actually. Storm probably has the same ratio of likely outcomes (either chinning Stevenson or getting KTFO) as Jack, but for some reason Stevenson vs. Jack seems like it would be much less boring while it lasted.

    How much does Stevenson have left at this stage, I know he had a late start but he's still 39-40 AND he hasnt been past the 4th round in what seems like a billion years. he fights boxer at a decent level, it's not quite the bums people claim because he foguht people that did deserve title shots. just inbetween those fights he should have took on another champ. Jack could win, he'd go rounds who knows how long stevenson can last in fights he hasnt gone far in close to 3 years.

    alvarez should have to fight on the card if he takes step aside money to hold his mando spot.

    alvarez vs browne would be legit tho.
