    That surprised me.

I've been a fan of Rigo but against a bigger, equally skilled but more offensive opponent, with impeccable footwork and timing? I'm going with Loma (who is in a different league from Donaire fwiw) but, since Duran has forgotten more about boxing than I'll ever know ... it's given me pause.

Didn't he jump two weights to beat SRL?

I don't know his history of picking fights anyway. Maybe he sees something..

    Just kidding lol...
I don't know if he is serious about this, but I do know he has close ties to Cuban boxing having co promoted Joel casamayor a decade ago.

Glad to see Duran is still firing on all cylinders. Rigo is the logical pick, Rigo will be P4P number one after Loma.

I have a feeling Loma will dominate Rigo.

When Duran talks, I listen. It's the fact that he thinks Rigo will win so easily that's thrown me off. I don't know his history of picking fights either but he doesn't have an emotional investment in this one, so I'm assuming he's picking with his head and he has seen something I haven't.

My thought is that it's hard to hit and run against a guy who has a similar skill calibre and, if they fight in mid-range, Loma has the advantage since that's where he prefers to box and he's the bigger, stronger man. I also think he has superior footwork because he can box circles around guys while staying in punching range, whereas Rigo is always moving backwards.

I'd like to see Duran explain in more depth why he thinks this will be an easy win for Rigo because I can't see it.

It's really hard to imagine Rigo winning this. Even IF Rigo were slightly more skilled as a boxer (big IF), it wouldn't be enough to neutralize the size disadvantage.

He said the extra weight will benefit Rigo with more strength, power, speed no too many people agree remember he fought Hagler at 160 and Davey Moore at 154 his comments were based in his own experience.

In that case, he's making the mistake of thinking other fighters are like him :nonono He had an iron chin and an indefatigable will - Rigo is comfortable at his own weight and has shown that he can be cracked by smaller guys.

Now I think Rigo is one of the most skilled fighters I've ever seen but going up against arguably the only guy who's his equal, is bigger and has a more aggressive style seems to be a bad idea.

Moving up benefits guys who have been killing themselves to make weight, not guys moving up for a payday who struggle to take the best punches from guys their own size.

If Rigo pulls this off, it'll easily be his best ever win but I just can't see it.

That final Hearns right hand took more of a toll than I thought. Plus Loma gives Roberto “No Mas” flashbacks.

This makes sense. Either he's never seen Loma, or he's got other reasons for picking Rigo. When he was in Mexico, Duran insisted to shocked Mexican commentators that Canelo was going to KO GGG. Then there's an interview with him in a US airport after that where he doubts Canelo can handle GGG's power.

I picked Rigo at feather when Lomo was first on the scene.
Some things have changed mostly in Lomos favor but I wouldn't say it would be the hugest of upsets if Rigo squeaked past him.

Well, it could be any reason. Plus it doesn't mean anything what Duran pick I guess. For what's it worth, Connor McGreggor also pick Rigo cause they are friends lol.
