Corrales although I had a feeling Corrales cramming his body into Jr lightweight would catch up to him and in that bout he looked bad.
Thought Gatti would make for at least 3 exciting rounds until BUDDY the idiot he is came up with e master plan for Gatti to try and outbox Mayweather.

I was a noob when the Hatton fight happened and I thought it was going to be a lot closer than it was.

Corrales, Juan Manuel Marquez, and Canelo for me. I expected him to win those fights but I didn't think he'd dominate them in such one-sided mismatches.

I expected the Corrales fight to be much more competitive. But, I did not realize at the time that Chico was going to prison (for abusing his pregnant wife) immediately following the fight, and would likely not see any of the money from the fight. Boxing is more than 50% mental, and history has shown that fighters in this type of compromising position almost never have the mental composure to fight well. In fact many just roll over and quit. I am not saying that Corrales just quit. But, the Diego Corrales Mayweather faced clearly did not have his head together in that fight.

He continued fighting at 130 and looked fine.

Sorry. Had a beer and was being a bit gnarly. Just disappointed he didn't fight Pac or Mosley a bit earlier. Maybe Tzsu or Margarito. Others at peak or prime could be mentioned. Not saying he ducked at all. But the bouts didn't occur. To be fair, I think he would have handled them all, and beat them all, probably. Yet I think they would have been more competitive than many other of the other challengers he fought in reality... which I hope answers your thread question a bit more competently. I guess I'm just gutted that if he chose/took different fights, I could have witnessed an an ATG top 20 (I'm 36) in my lifetime. Might not happen again for me. It would also have pushed him from a top 30 ATG to a top 20. Maybe 15. Great fighter, though. Just a bit silly for people to consider him top 10, in my opinion.
