    It's pitiful, IMHO.

I can't think of a SINGLE belt holder (other than Quigg, to a degree) who is in meaningless fight after meaningless fight.

    Agree or not?

Then, if he wins (which he clearly will) he will face... wait for it... Josh Warrington. Zzzz.

All about money fights now for selby and Warrington and Frampton are the two biggest paydays he will get.

But I agree could have done more, would do well moving up a weight also. Not been managed or promoted in any kind of way at all.

    Hearn failed Degale..

Froch V Degale when James was moves into mandatory = Hearn failed to deliver and Froch retired

Degale v Groves 2 = Hearn failed to get negotiations to finish line

Degale v Dirrel purse bid for the world title = Hearn lost bid
To Haymon which signaled James move to states

Degale V Callum Smith PPV =
    Hearn failed to deliver.

Probably due to the combination of him being in a low weight class and not having a big fan base/appeal. Easier to make big fights when you have a following, even if you're not a world beater.

He was so far down in matchroom priority order I think most people forgot about him. I think Eddie liked having him within his stable to boost his world champ numbers

He never stood on stage weighing in with Matchroom to find out his opponent wasn't fighting him and he wasn't to fight and get a pay day after paying for him and his team to be based in US away from his family in build up

Gilberto Ramirez has just been scheduled to face a guy called Habib Ahmed! and he has 3 months till the fight! Don't get no worse than that.

Deontay Wilder & Tyron Zeuge have meaningless defences too.

Selby made the same decision as DeGale but Selbys career has been thwarted if anything by his decision to go with uncle Al.
He took a gamble and im not sure it paid for him.
He was psid well for the Montiel fight but the underwhelming performance from Selby turned Haymon off.
I bet Selby has been lucky to get 50G a fight since Montiel. He has had no promotion over here and in hindsight maybe hes thinking he should of stayed with Ed.
But tbf to the lad he made the same decision as most of us probably would. He saw a chance to make a name for himself in the states but it just hasnt worked out

Well he had him win world title then he left to go go America and that's the point where are all these regular big fights in the states?
