Soon to be announced but been well known in scotland for weeks with lots of social media posts. Mcgregor was a good medal hope for scotland in the commonwealth games but is now turning pro with the mcguigans. I think he is only 19/20, Should really have waited until after the games to see if he got a medal!
Yeah that is a bad choice. He should have waited, built his profile at the games, where he had a good chance of getting a medal, maybe even gold. However if so, good luck to him
lets see if the next show sells though - davies show was dead! They wont be hanging about up here if people arent turning out
Good point, though the choice of venue was strange. Was held in Glasgow and Taylor is from Edinburgh. Also the breathers arena is terrible to get to even from Glasgow city centre, no train station etc next to it.
Alex Arthur talks highly of this young man. He's taken the plunge and turned pro now so hopefully most fans here get behind him and wish him well. I'm gonna be ringside for Taylor v Vazquez so looking forward to seeing McGregor's pro debut in person.
Ask joe Córdina, okolie and Buatsi after Saturday. Unless your Aj or brook your just matchroom filler and in a very big shadow. At cyclone he has the chance to Make an name for himself on his abailities. Do you think we would rate Taylor as much if had been with matchroom?
Scottish boxing suddenly is starting to look bright again, after years of only relying on Ricky Burns. Josh Taylor is THE best prospect in Britain. Willie Hutchinson is right up there as one of the best too, Plus Lee Mcgregor, Jason Easton, Stephen Tiffney, etc.
