LOL #NeverBeenDropped. So Martin got 5 million for the IBF belt. That means they offered Parker 2 million.

Exactly. Why do people seem to forget Joshua holds belts. Just because his the guy making mad figures it doesn't mean he should be taking less to fight Parker.

Outside NZ all the revenue comes from AJ. Parker knows this, his team know this, his fans know this. Hearn should offer them a flat fee of £4 mil + ppv bonus and all the NZ/Australia revenue.

If he rejects let him go and make $1 mil fighting someone else.

The fact that Parkers promoter talks about Parker having a big extended family to look after says it all. AJ isn't there to pay for Parker and his whole families life. Stop selling your title and go and beat AJ and then you can make the money you want in a rematch.

And even if it was true that article says Hearn upped his offer. Hearn was probably being cheeky and trying to get Parker at a bargain price. Now the serious negotiating begins and I believe we'll see this fight happen next. Both want the fight, both believe they can win, it will just come down to the money.

I could see Parker getting 25%-30% because he has a belt but beyond that he's not bringing much to the negotiations. If he can get 4-5 Million he should be happy with that and not worry about what Joshua makes

And the fact that it'd be a unification means it commands considerably more money for both sides than a straight mandatory. It's not like this is some Mickey Mouse belt held by a total nobody that Joshua would be fighting to pick up; he'll be fighting a recognised top five fighter with one of the four major belts. Regardless of Parker's popularity that has to enter the equation.

If it came down to popularity why did Hearn pay Martin so much for his world title when he could just as easily fight nobodies and still make a killing? He wanted to up Joshua's market value, and even in today's day and age the more belts you have the more legitimately you're seen by the masses. A win over Parker would massively up Joshua's credibility and take him one step nearer to total unification.

Why would AJ want the extra belt? He is already making more money they the top 5 combined just by fighting mandatorys plus a few other fights like Whyte 2 so he has no need to take a high risk fight like Parker for less money...

Why would he do this, getting that other belt won't increase his revenue stream, most casuals alrady think he is the next Mike Tyson...

If both Parker and Wilder want to get a bit of that action they need to accept what they get offered (which is still far more than what they normally get) or go fight elsewhere..

Crying about it over Twiiter just make both of them look desperate.. "Lets go Champ"....
