I like the idea of one champ per class. It's just my way of compromising, plus I kinda of like the idea of unification.
If you have only one champ per weight class, some of the talented fighters might got left out of title shots because of politic.

no some good fighters have fought in the juniors and supers which never would have done as well anywhere else. Pryor is one.

Yes, fewer weight divisions like in the old days, plus bring back 15 round world title fights and while you're at it, have only one champion per division so people will know who the champion is....................clean up the rankings, make fighters earn their rankings, not promoters buying them!

 

50% of them would be forced to move up automatically, because the weight they're big at would no longer exist.
And they were already present at the weightclass anyway, so that doesn't change at all. There's only the addition from the weightclass below but the rest would stay the same.

 

There would be bigger size differences between fighters. No, I don't think that would improve the sport.

 

Removing all the in-between divisions might be a step too far but I do think some of the lower weight divisions could be consolidated. There are something like 20 pro welterweights for every pro minimumweight
