Fastest handspeed: Meldrick Taylor, Hector Camacho, or Howard Davis Jr

Taylor has fastest hands to me

 

I`ve never seen anyone faster than Hector Camacho at `30 and `35. I think that Hector had a little more on his punches than Taylor did. Meldrick did throw blinding flurries but they tended to be slaps.

 

Camacho at 130 is probably the tops I’ve ever seen or ever will see for hand speed.

 

He was ridiculous really. Used it well too at least up until Rosario. That hand and foot speed was a big advantage when engaging.

 

I lead towards Taylor.

 

Pure hand speed probably Davis. But all 3 were exceptional as far as hand speed was concerned. But what did all that accomplish for them? If your not capable of or afraid to put power on your shots, a good fighter will eventually wear you down and come away with a win. Look at the history of boxing, theirs has been many super fast fighters. But how many became ATG'S? Theirs a lot more average speed heavy punching ATG'S, Than super fast light punchers.

 

Super fast punchers are also far less common than guys with average handspeed too so the pools for producing ATG's are vastly different.

Davis actually set down a bit and started punching harder around the Coverson fight. Camacho actually showed some pop at times too, particularly early.

 

Howard Davis Jr slightly edges Hector Camacho and Meldrick Taylor. And I would give him an 80% chance minimum of beating those two if he fought them in his prime.

 

Overall Camacho.
Multi punch combinations I'd go with Taylor-he could really flurry 5 punch combos.

 

The combinations of super fast hands from meldrick taylor were incredible

 

And as incredible as they were, they couldn't save him from Chavez.

 

This is definitely Camacho. How the Hell can anybody go with Davis when Camacho made a still very fast Davis look like a sloth?

Camacho is behind only Roy for the fastest hands of all time.

 

Camacho and Taylor tied for mine but Hector also had great foot speed so I will give him the overall nod for speed.

Howard was truly a feather fist unlike Taylor and Camacho. Great amateur though.
