Yep, I agree. I was just joking in the post I made. I follow soccer and spent some of my time as a teenager in the UK.

In New Zealand and Australia there are a lot of athletic and often very big sized sports people in rugby union/league, as well as AFL. It's a good case in point ... most the rugby players who have size and dexterity have not made it when they have tried their hand at boxing ... Sonny Bill Williams did ok-ish, Hopoate bombed out, Willis Meahan maybe could have gone somewhere but hasn't. Mundine is the only one to make a success of the transition.

 

There is no such thing as 'lean' muscle or 'bulky' muscle. Muscle is muscle, only thing that changes the look of it is how much of it you have & your body fat percentage.

He's good enough to be one of the best in the world. Even if he isn't that great, that's not a bad thing for the sport. Its more interesting if you know his opponent has a chance. It gets kind of boring when someone dominates too much and you know the outcome of his fights before hand.

Very few people have ever willingly chosen to become boxers. It takes a special mentality quite apart from athletic talents.

 

to be fair hes untested at top level, so its impossible to say hes very good yet.

That's really true i knew tons of guys growing up who never boxed but were incredibly athletic and could hit insanely hard, but then they took a hit themselves literally would give up

When you put lifts into your shoes to try to look a little less weedy, you are 5 foot 8. When you attempt to talk to females you go all shy and cower in the corner, and you are five foot four. Average - five foot six.
