Havn't heard or seen anything from him. His social media has no training or updates of any kind. No longer ranked on boxrec. Would like to see him against Junior Fa. Would be a great fight. Who would win that one?

Izu was recovered and healed his injuries. He said he will tell what about his future in next year.

I read that promotors going to make event on spring next year with Adamek (like main event), Kownacki and Izu. They also are not sure what about localisation. Maybe Poland, maybe USA.

Izu made his first public appearance in last days. He said he was battling some "personal issues" after fighting Breazeale and that his break had nothing to do with boxing. He also struggled with an undisclosed injury. Izu will be back in 2018, he said he was meant to be back on Wilder vs Stiverne undercard, but he decided to take things slow. Kevin Barry will remain his coach. A fight in Poland is also possible - Wach and Adamek are mentioned as his potential opponents.

Izu can be the first Polish Heavyweight champ in history, I think he comes back stronger.

Some other things he said in that interview:

    - he knew what went bad in fight against Breazeale just after it was finished
    - "Even Joshua needed 7 rounds to finish him, I went in there to knock him out in the third round - that was my plan"
    - "I don't know why, but I had the feeling it would be done in the 3rd round. It was like a dream - I was just sure it would happen. Even during my ringwalk I was wearing a shirt with number 3 - that's how strongly I believed that I'd knock him out in the third"
    - Izu said that the most important moment of this fight was when Breazeale - after he was down from his punches - wrestled him down. "If I was standing and not on the ground in that moment, I would've finished that fight immediately. It took a lot of my strength away, he is a big and heavy guy"
    - Izu is in shape - his weight at the moment is 218 lbs, a lot less than in his last fights. But he intends to stay around 230 lbs in his next fights

What is to learn about Izu?

Caught Breazeale flush behind the ear, lacked the power to finish it or the aggression to follow up and finish it

Then we he was caught himself the following round clearly lacked the punch resistance to stand up and see the round through.

I think we can safely put him on the shelf and proven to not be up to the level of contender world class. At the crucial questions of power and punch resistance against a gate keeper to world class he failed on both counts

Junior Fa looks below Izu to be frank

Golota is the first Polish HW champ (unofficially) Robbed against Byrd and Ruiz.

Don't think he lacked power at all in that fight... Just blew his wad early and didn't pick his shots right.

Mate come on. As a HW if you catch someone behind the back of the ear flush and dont lay them out or at least put them on funny street, then you are not packing heat, and not punching hard.

Lets not mince around here like ***s. If Mike Tyson had landed that right hook behind the ear, would Breazeale have woken up before the doctor had entered the ring or just casually got up and fought on like normal?

The behind the ear stuff is crap..... Some guys get hit there and still recover fast - or don't go out at all. Breazeale is tough and has one of the best recoveries in the game currently(also got up to beat Mansour)

Izu is an exciting yet seriously flawed fighter.

Good puncher, weak chinned, awful gas tank and failed in his first step up fight against a borderline top 10 type of fighter.
