    According to boxrec.

    Anyone missing??

Anyone too high or too low??

For me poor list, notable absentees whyte, fielding, burns, skeete, o hara maybe? Think once this WBSS finishes there will be a few place changes. For me Burnett, Saunders and Degale (maybe lack of activity) too low. Eubank, Flanagan and Quigg too high. Please note not my list.

    1. Anthony Joshua
    2. Carl Frampton
    3. Chris Eubank
    4. Kal Yafai
    5. George Groves
    6. Terry Flanagan
    7. Lee Selby
    8. Scott Quigg
    9. Callum Smith
    10. Jamie Mc
    11. Ryan Burnett
    12. James Degale
    13. Luke Campbell
    14. Tony Bellew
    15. Billy Jo Saunders
    16. Josh Warrington
    17. Kell Brook
    18. Josh Taylor
    19. Liam Smith
    20. Ant Crolla
    21. Martin Murray
    22. Andrew Selby
    23. Sam Eggington
    24. Paul Butler

If young Christopher beats Groves I think he might actually make the World P4P top 10 list on Boxrec!!!

When I said after the WBSS Jr will be top10 p4p I was laughed at and ridiculed, now it doesn't seem far fetched.

TBF though I personally think Smith is the much harder fight for Jr, and that will be his real acid test.
If he beats Groves he will get far more plaudits and a World title, Groves is the more proven fighter which still counts for a fair bit.

Boxrec's rankings are automated / ranked by a computer system, so they are usually awful.

I mean Kell Brook at 17? Chris Eubank at 3 lol!

A computer has no bias, it just takes in to account actual results.

In some ways it is actually a more honest and accurate form of rankings.

Obviously it has a lot of negatives though, no rankings are perfect.

    Eubank Jr at 3 haha

Yet Ryan Burrnett is only 11th, and Eubank Jrs daddy Saunders is only 15th haha what a joke

Theyve ways been pretty bad. I think profile/celebrity status has something to do with it cause Amir Khan was ranked really high when he'd done nothing for years, and Eubank Jr is high now.

Their rankings award less points for SD, MD results which Saunders received against Jr and Lee.

Since that fight Jr has been more active and has fought higher ranked opposition which has meant he is above Saunders.

Ryan Burnett obviously hasn't beaten blokes with decent wins

It's a tricky one. No one actually knows how good Smith is. He is huge at the weight, and can punch a bit. I think Groves is the tougher fight. If he comes through that then I think it will be the making of him and can see him beating Smith too.

Still think it might take a unification win vs Degale to put him in the top 10

Mental having Brook at 17. He's only lost to two elite operators in Golovkin and Spence, putting in good performances in both. No one ranked above him there has a better win on their record than Porter apart from Frampton (LSC) and Joshua (Klit).

If he beats Groves he will pull out with the belt in his hand to protect it. That's my prediction.

Things that stand out on that list for me..

Eubank Jr 3rd, the IBO title, he beat Quinlan and he is above all those genuine world champions?

How is Luke Campbell above Bellew?

Scott Quigg above DeGale, Bellew, Saunders?

That must have been drawn out of a hat, it's a ridiculous list and whoever produced that knows nothing about boxing, what the hell are they basing this from?

As @Rudy said BJS beat Jr and has gone on to become a world champion, Jr's won a joke of a "world title" and best win is what?

that is absolutely awful, it's actually irritated me a little bit LOL this is why I barely use boxrec, it's a joke of a site.

How is Taylor higher than Liam Smith then? He’s been a world champion and just beat the number 3 ranked challenger twice in a row.

(I have no doubt who the better boxer is for the record but on a computed results basis this makes no sense).
