I be honest, if no one could see what McGuigan was like before this then they are quite thick. Hes an open book. Truly dislikeable fella. His son Shane looks to have that spiteful look to him too. The popularity McGuigan received over the years went to his head badly imo

How do you give someone a tax bill of £400k? More likely McGuigan was just passing on the news from HMRC and now Carl wants to shoot the messenger.

There are two sides to every story...

Obviously if a party to a contract feels hard done by they have a right...a human right....to pursue the matter legally. If the other party has done nothing wrong then they have nothing to worry about. All good. Nothing to see here.

don't know why he went with the mcguigans in the first place. boxers should be minimising the middle men not feeding a whole outfit.

I wish Frampton signed with Hearn it would've been funny to see how Cyclone would take on a Matchroom/Sky Fighter in Court along with Hearn on Twitter updating us on what is happening and another chapter in the feud of Hearns v Mcguigans.Mcguigans as i have said were always a bit dodgy and have the air of nastiness about them espically Barry who takes things too personally.Davies v Taylor this Year Barry was going full on crazy in front of Hearn and apparently swore at him in the end.Say What you want about Hearn but i have never seen him in these situations as i have with Warren,Mcguigans,American Promoters

McGuigan has stiffed Frampton out of a lot of money, and legally he doesnt have a leg to stand on.

The counter suit is ill advised, and McGuigan should have settled out of court, because those legal fees are going to hurt a lot.

Cheaper to pay 70% of what you can agree is owed, than pay 100% of what is owed plus another £200k in legal fees.

What your saying doesn't really make sense Barry cannot put tax on anything , your using the wrong terminology to explain your point.

Maybe he means he deducted the money for tax off Framton but instea of paying tax man kept it. Or hid it somewhere else

Could be , its sounds more like Barry took 10% off the sale price of every ticket, so what ever Carl sold he got 90% of the money which doesn't sound like a bad deal to me.

And assuming they are both on the high income tax bracket both men would have been taxed 45% income tax on the 10% and 90% they made from the ticket sales.
