He is potentially opening a huge can of worms for himself and the McGuigans , he should have just had his last fight with them then moved on , there is a bit of a witch hunt against Cyclone and the McGuigans I don't buy into that, I think it as the disaster of the fight that was cancelled plus him being wrongly advised that has led them to a court case. All of a sudden he starts talking about how he wasn't enjoying boxing blah blah , and he now has a new lease of life , do you not think that perhaps the immergence of Josh Taylor meant that he didn't quite feel the top dog at Cyclone and therefore looked for a way out ? Fight the last fight then move , why not ????
no, he probably made no where near enough money from the santa cruz fights that he should have done as barry and shane would have taken a large piece of the pie, then after the next show falling through after spending time away from the family and money for the training camp he probably got pissed off, he probbly wasnt making much money from that fight anyway. carl is in the last 2/3 years of his career and he clearly didnt want to waste more time and money with the mcguigans as he doesnt have that long left. It has nothing to do with josh taylor more popular.
So a Manager and a trainer take a cut of a fighters purse lol and that makes that makes the Mcguigan's the bad guys? And all this pish about frampton was paying all the family is crap, of the names weren't by mcguigan he'd still be paying them there % or wage! Why not keep it in the family? No one was bad mouthing the Mcguigan's when they watched that documentary all of a sudden frampton breaks his contract and it's all the Mcguigan's fault??? Dunno what people got paid but frampton was happy enough to do it for years, remember this is the same frampton that jumped ship before to go with cyclone. People like carl, myself included but that doesn't mean he is right.
Also if frampton was a board member he knew exactly what. Cyclone made and what people got paid and was happy with it for years.
barry was his promoter and manager, the majority of their revenue as a business was coming from Frampton. The reason i beleive he decided to leave now was because his last 3 fights were all big world title fights but they were all on another promoters/networks show so he would have got paid a decent amount - although probably not as much as he should have done because the rumours are saying he wasnt getting a large piece of the pie. However once cyclone were hosting a show framtpon would have seen that when he was fighting on channel 5 he wouldnt be getting paid as much and having to pay all of their wages from his purse, hence why he has now left to fight on a bigger tv company
Frampton quite simply got himself into this mess.If he hadnt left Matchroom in the first place back in 2013 none of this would be happening
Isn't this worryingly similar to the Ricky Burns / Alex Morrison / Eddie Hearn / Frank Warren situation?
He needs to fight Selby to be anywhere near 10x, he's already in the duck list alongside quigg and Cruz for ducking the real jackel.
You might be right there after all. Apparently they want £900,000 out of McGregor for chinning one of their men in a pub in Dublin !
