Teddy removed from calling Rigo/Loma

Glad to see Atlas losing a paycheck. He's a lousy commentator that can't pick a fight, and instead of covering an event, always tries to take the spotlight with his psychotic drama and soapbox ranting.

 

I wonder how much of this had to do with how Teddy and that new guy were arguing on the last broadcast because that new guy is doing this fight I think

I like atlas. Heknows more about Boxing than Lampley and Merchant combined. Sure he gets hyperbolic sometimes but he doesnt take **** and stands up for what he believes in

The only problem with Teddy is he refuses to be bought. He tells it like it is.

Five pages of posts and no one mentions why Atlas was actually kept of the broadcast?

The speculation is he's not working Loma-Rigo to keep him from new ESPN guy Mark Kriegel, who he got testy with during the Beterbiev-Koelling telecast. Though I think Teddy's a fake macho blowhard he was totally in the right in his dispute with Kriegel and I definitely disagree with the call to keep him from Saturday's show. Kriegel's a writer and I thought was brought in to be a 'storyteller' and give context to the fights, with interviews, video features, thoughts before bouts, but he doesn't have the technical knowledge to add much calling a fight.

Pretty interesting that ESPN/Arum scored Kriegel and Brian Kenny from Showtime/PBC, just not sure they're in the best roles. I'd love to see Bob Papa back on ESPN over Tessitore. Papa was one of my fave blow by blow guys, and I've never really liked Tessitore's delivery.

Maybe the network decided that someone getting their knickers in a knot every time a decision didn't go the way they wanted to wasn't a good look..

 

He was an underdog against Lewis. Atlas was the absolute worst trainer for his self confidence.

 

Teddy won't call the fight. You don't have to be Nostradamus to see that.

 

Thank goodness ! Atlas is so annoying as a play-by-play commentator. He's not only very distracting but he always seems to produce ridiculous scorecards then proceeds to throw a temper tantrum about it when the judges don't see it his way. Oh and he had Triple G over Canelo 118-110, 10 rounds to 2. That alone should get him removed from future telecasts lol. You may need to have your head examined if you thought Triple G won 10 rounds vs Canelo.

 

Best news i heard in a long time. He makes moronic pre-fight game plans for boxers and the comments acording to them and even distorst reallity to supports his claims. First class disilusional sociopath.
