until tonight, i've been a critic. i always thought his floyd mayweather impersonations were distasteful but i was impressed tonight. i wasn't looking for perfection but whether or not he has the goods to go to the next level.....yes he does.....end of story
hmmm, i think this is to be expected whenver a guy steps up. every fighter goes through this when they climb through the ranks it is more about if he learns and adjust in the next few fights.....
I think Yarde wipes out Shanranskyy; but given his defensive deficiencies and the suspicion that he's packing glass whiskers, he gets ruthlessly iced by any of the top Light Heavies when he does step up to true world level at 175. Given how wildly hyped Yarde has been by some, I personally can't wait to see the look on Frank Warren's fresh little face when the above does happen.
If he fights Beterbiev, Kovalev, Bivol, Gvozdyk or Barrera, we'll find out the answer to this particular poser sharpish.
Agree he got tagged too easily but offensively he looked good against a decent operator. Probably doesn’t beat the big boys...
For reference, Sjekloca did just draw with Stieglitz at LHW. So let's not pretend he was dragged up from no where. Yarde did better than I thought. He won't get a world title, no way. His power is legit though, that surprised me.
I think he'll win a world title. His weaknesses can be worked on, and his strengths are the kind of things you can't teach. Doesn't surprise me one bit that Sjekloca went the distance with Abraham and Stieglitz. He wasn't leaving many gaps, Yarde found them with sharp feints and angles - his power did the rest. Disclaimer: I might be quite biased because I bumped into him last week - really friendly guy.
I think hes a solid prospect . I really like his energy and positivity. But it's somewhat tainted by his copycat fmw routine. That's tired now.
The ease with which he got hit by the right hands is a concern and he seemed to be burning up a lot of energy at times but his jab looked more than useful and his power stood up to its first semi test. He needs more of these fights - the gimmes he's had so far tell us nothing. Sjekloca is experienced and can fight a bit and Yarde was able to overpower him. Now he needs a few of the same template - experienced pro's who will still have a bit left but can compete with his size.
Yarde is a little overrated by some but I felt it was the type of fight he needed, he got touched a few times and was made to work for the KO. I would like to see him in with more guys in and around that level. Why not Ajisafe next?
Yarde and Dubois werent Olympians is that why Hearn didnt sign them.Because Hearn would then have to feed them bums for the next 20 Fights to build them up.He got Buatsi instead of Yarde which i think is the right choice however Dubious looks decent.
He was getting tagged because he was showboating and not respecting his opponent. He still got the job done and I very much doubt he would use similar tactics against the elite. It was a decent performance from a guy who's still learning. Some people have ridiculous expectations.
Hearn spoke to dubious team and wen told what was on offer from fw he told them to take it and wished them all the best he cudnt match it.
That of Course only will happen if he has a weak chin.........which we dont know yet, so the title of your post is simply a Provokation without foundation. so first of: F..k you for being a ****. secondly, let´s look at what yarde actually showed us: he can bang out guys that have proven world Level chins. and THAT alone puts him on the fringes of world class. for a man who only started boxing at 20 (!) and has had only 14 fights.........THAT is WELL DONE INDEED!!!
