Loma vs Rigo, Post Fight Thread, QUIT or INJURY

A true ninja turtle never quits, Rigo goes down a few pegs in my book.

Loma's stock goes up he's the real deal

I thought Rigo was going to win, But that was a quit

 

No Mas Chenko made him quit, at least he could have had the decency to even quit like a man, he just embarassed himself beyond belief

 

Quit. Tried to spoil for 6 rounds, and quit as soon as the ref wouldn't let him anymore. Yes, Loma's bigger and stronger but I counted 2 big left hands thrown by Rigo the whole fight. At least try something before you quit.

 

I'm still not completely sold on Loma yet, since Rigo was clearly too small. Maybe a rematch with Salido and then move up to 135. Rigo's power clearly didn't carry up with him and after the first round he was struggling badly to keep Loma from running over him.

I still think Loma will struggle with somebody than can crowd him like Salido did.

Loma is not only P4P number 1, he's a once in a lifetime talent. If you're not sold on him, YDSAB.

 

So disappointing. I expected Loma to win, but I also expected Rigo to put up a fight. Even the fantasy fights we wait for for years end up disappointing. Being a boxing fan is tough.

 

Can't believe this is how the fight ended. Rigo is not hungry anymore, very lackluster performance from a talented fighter. Lomachenko was clearly the better fighter!

 

Both, but more on the side of "quit".

Rigo landed a couple of glancing blows and one of them may well have injured the hand.

That said, he might have soldiered on through the pain had he been able to get anything done in the ring. But he couldn't so he didn't.

 

A total disgrace.
He found out he was totally outclassed so just wanted to hold every single time they came close as well as ducking his head almost to the ground.
He hardly throw a shot that connected.
He quit because he couldn't win simple as that.
He wasn't even that hurt.
If it were up to me I would deduct his entire purse.
If he wanted to take an easy way out he should have taken a shot as get counted out like a man.
A 2 time gold medalist and world champion in a major fight doesn't get the option of quiting on his stool unless he is cut or else severely injured.
This cowardly act will stay with him his entire life and tarnishes his whole career.
