I can definitely see the case for the winning fighter getting more credit for a knockout. Definitely easier to get more hype for it.

Did you watch the fight? How can you say the bold with a straight face? Because that's exactly what he did.

Of course size difference matters. How you take a punch and how your punch affects someone is a major factor on how a fight plays out. Rigo was tiny at 122 and he moved up 8 pounds. If he trade and took risks Loma would come out on top every time since his punches would have far more of an affect.

Not the way Rig handled adversity in this fight.....but that can't erase the fact that Rig is a p4p fighter and had dominating performances that secured his status. Unfortunately he was just out classed and Loma was the better boxer tonight. Doesn't mean Rig isn't still a great pugilist.....he's just not able to compete with Loma.

This is why we have weight divisions. The size disparity was obvious as soon as they faced off in the ring. If you don't think so, then let's see Loma move up two weight divisions and take on Crawford. Some were crying Salido was 2 pounds over the limit. I guess weight is only an excuse if you lose. This is two divisions up!

I'm not disputing that it matters. I'm saying it wasn't the factor it might have been because Rigo didn't fight to win, then quit. The fight was about Rigo's underwhelming performance then quit job, not the size.

Lol. What did he do? Loma wasn't NOT bullying or pushing Loma around. He was using angles, lateral movement, pivots and combinations to keep Rig defensive. The only area or aspect of the fight that would typically favor the heavier man was on the inside but this wasn't possible because of the excessive holding on the inside. This was a fight that took place at range and on the outside.

Nah Arum hasn’t scammed us,pretty sure both him and Lomo been saying for ages the outcome of this fight and that it had zero to gain for Lomo and everything to gain for Rigo.

Course they knew how this would go as Arum knows what Lomos capable of,this fight was as much to do with the Rigo fan boys than anything as Arum couldn’t even be bothered promoting it

Loma was the slicker boxer and Rigo got intimidated, then soon after, demoralized. He’s all good as a front-runner but when the mud came slinging back he pulled up like a cheap mare.

Wasn't getting KO'd. Loma doesn't punch like that. Loma did take that heart though.

This fight was primarily about Rigo being completely outsized. You can factor in other things like age and in-activeness.

They just see and feel **** in that ring that they’ve never seen before. Rigo was on his way out. Did you see those knees of his in that last round after that sharp combo by Loma? :D He was gonna go out real soon. I was just waiting for it.

If he traded with Loma, Rig's craft and skills...especially his exceptional footwork should have allowed him to mitigate risk of being countered by one of Loma's punches...if Loma's speed was an advantage, timing and precision can negate that advantage in most cases. Rig is a very accurate counter puncher and his timing is usually better than a swizz watch.

His power may not have carried up with him but we really don't know....he didn't land too many punches on Loma and quit before he found any real success
