Not sure why but is seems as Rigo had shorter reach, saw that figure but in fight is seemed different. I didn't see outclassing, just Rigo was not fighting, nor Loma didn't do anything significant to push Rigo to quit. Was expecting Loma win and was hoping for a good fight, but the fight was awful.
If you didnt see an outclassing you are hopeless. If you think it was just one guy not trying and one guy just being ineffective you are hopeless. It wasnt a thrilling fight as most one sided fights lack drama and Rigo's spoiling and corner retirement prevented a beat down.
Pretty much my thoughts, its not even Loma's best win, I still think that is GRJ or Walters, but its hardly a meaningless win that accomplished nothing either.
It depended entirely of the nature of the win for me. This adds some more credit than I was initially planning on giving him. If he Margarito'd his way to victory after being outboxed, that actually would've dropped his stock a bit for me.
Outclassing is basically when both fighter fight and one is just way better, but when one of the fighters is not even trying to fight, that's where the problem is. Just can't understand Rigo. He should quit he is a disgrace to boxing.
It wasn't that Rig "didn't want to fight"....believe me, Rig was extra motivated to upset the Arum Apple Cart by beating Loma like he did against Nonito a few years back. The problem was Loma was just the better boxer. Loma's footwork was superior, his positioning was superior, his speed and accuracy were superior...then the style factor made it even more of an uphill struggle for Rig. It's not Rigs weight class at the end of the day but that's because Loma owns 130...If Loma was at 122 or 126....it wouldn't be Rigs weight class. Rig could be the top fighter at 130 if Loma wasn't there.
This. The size difference was too much. It didn't really answer questions about Loma. Loma will need to move up to 135 to really show how good he is, since 130 is a really weak division.
Does anyone think he is called NOMASchenko for a reason? He makes Walters and Rigo quit, because they have no hope and they see no openings.
Its not really beefing he doesnt want any. I just had to keep him in check. Watched him bully people for years and pretend to be a fighter so I had to make him do some soul searching. Which he did lol
loma looked impressive, even knowing that rigo is in fact old, naturally 10 lbs smaller, and has a glass heart, loma showed his superiority all the way around. grabbing any belt at 135 would make loma p4p #1 for me.
