I root for the underdog every time, but rather than focusing my energy in rooting against the favourite, I instead root for the underdog.

So say Lomachenko vs Berchelt is signed, I'll root for Berchelt, don't mean I have to hate on Loma, just means I don't want him to win.

You can hate whoever you want to hate. Hating someone doesn't make you a "hater" in my opinion. Spinning false narratives and dampening someones accomplishments to supplement your hate for an individual makes you a "hater". There is a ton of this in life, but especially sports. It's nauseating and makes sports talk almost unbearable at times.
