They've both agreed to try and make the fight on Twitter. I mean, it IS a good match up for both but potentially one of the worst fights to make from a visual perspective. Thoughts?
Yeah, it sorts out part of the British heavyweights pecking order, but ... Not worth watching. Then again, I dunno. Maybe Whyte can do something to sell this fight. In a world where Tony ****in' Bellew is a PPV heavyweight in the UK and a RING Magazine contender, I think it's kind of unfair to Whyte and even Hughie to dismiss this as a spectacle. Bellew is dreadful to watch, worse than Hughie even.
Bellew Hughie would be the worst fight I can think of action wise but this won't be much better. Does anyone want to see Hughie attempt to play heavyweight tag again? I know I don't. And for the record I don't think his ridiculous 'style' should be compared to that of Tyson who actually throws punches with some intention of them hurting his opponent a bit.
I think Hughie would box Whytes head off, though would he get the decision, I dont know. Think Whyte is too one paced and is easy to hit so ideal for Hughie.
Hughie Fury will make him miss and tie him up for 12 rounds. If he accepts that his tactics were wrong against Parker in not throwing enough shots, then he will beat Whyte with ease. If he still has that mindset that he was robbed and doesn’t learn and adjust, then Whyte will win with pressure alone. Either way, it won’t be fight of the year, that’s for sure.
I think Fury would get a decision but he needs to add some bulk if he's going to make the leap from contender to champion.
Be a repeat of the Parker fight for me. Hughie should actually get the decision this time though. Regardless of what Tony Bellew is doing this isn’t a PPV fight. Don’t use that mockery to try and justify otherwise.
I don’t think anyone has any desire to ever see Hughie Fury in a professional boxing ring again after the Joseph Parker stinker. The stinker was purely a result of his negative tactics. And his reaction afterwards was astonishing. As was that of his incompetent promoter. I don’t see how you sell Hughie against anyone in a big fight. He needs to go back to the drawing board in more ways than one.
Hughie lands one or two powder-puff shots. Whyte lands nothing close to being clean. Mick H demolishes a snickers bar. Repeat x 12.
Hearn has ruled it out, says they are going after Browner and Kabayel instead for Whyte. I wonder if AJ-Parker and Whyte-Browne is coming to a PPV near you
