Sullivan Barrera- Has awesome wins, is being ducked at 175, managed to beat the best fighter behind Andre Ward, Joe Smith Jr., wants bigger fights when Stevenson stops hiding in Canada listening to Drake and comes out to get his jaw broken.

Charlie Zelenoff, something like 300-0 at this point, fought at about 8 different weights, yet still been given no shot at a title. If he fought on ESPN he'd be spoken of like a legend, or even a myth.

This forum continues to sleep on Lomachenko. If only he was a heavyweight or had a loud mouth attitude then maybe people would recognise his talents.

That’s easy, Danny Garcia and Canelo. Garcia isn’t the fastest, strongest, or toughest, but all he does is win. Same with Canelo, although he’s had a few close calls that could’ve/should’ve gone the other way.

Either way, it sucks that a lot of so called fans call for these guys to fight the best while giving them no margin for error. Let’s face it, boxing is a one on one competition which means finishing second on any given night is a loss. Maybe fans’ attitudes towards losing fighters has something to do with why promoters and managers try to coddle their fighters/cash cows.

Armstrong, Arguello, Hopkins...each of them ATGs who lost their pro debut. In today’s thinking they’d have never achieved the status that they did.

That he even got a mention in this thread is paradoxical affirmation that he's not underrated, on this or any other forum. There's barely an accolade he won't be nominated for, even when all the evidence points to the contrary - e.g. I've seen him prematurely anointed as an ATG and referred to (not once, but twice) as the best boxer in the history of Earth in the last 48 hours alone, he's the subject of countless adoring threads, but you're somehow bemoaning a lack of plaudits on his behalf.

Not everyone agrees he's quite as good as his most ardent admirers believe he is, but just about everyone agrees that he's very talented and that he would beat the great majority of currently active fighters within his conceivable weight range. One has to wonder what would satisfy his fans. You want he should be hailed as the supreme ruler of the galaxy?

McWilliams Arroyo. That guy is really slept on, a fine boxer and tough as tough. It's a shame we haven't seen him in nearly two years.

Lomachenko is so under appreciated, it is amazing how much hate he gets from everyone. I feel so triggered when he doesnt get the respect he deserves, I’m actually crying tears right now, Loma needs more appreciation please, my mental health depends on it.

Ironically, a week ago Loma was underrated.

A large number of boxing people picked Rigo in that fight, and many of those backing Loma cited size as the reason he'd win, not skill.

I still have no idea why so many thought Loma would get outboxed. But it's funny that a win he doesn't particularly care about turned out to be so meaningful to boxing insiders.
