    I guess if you were going to study technique and tactics from videos of fights I suggest these fighters;
    James Toney
    Bernard Hopkins
    Ray Leonard
    Ricardo Lopez
    Oscar De La Hoya
    Humberto Chiquita Gonzales
    Yuri Arbachakov
    Bobby Czyz
    Greg Haugen
    Phillip Holliday

    My best friend trained Nestor Garza. Nestor vanished during that camp and nobody knew where he was for weeks.

    You could see the best usage of the shoulder roll. IMO, if you study enough fighters it will eventually help you in sparring, then eventually in competition. You probably won't end up imitating one particular fighter but you'll find the techniques that work for you too. It doesn't happen overnight but I think studying video speeds up the process.

    Every thing Toney does is teachable. Bill Miller taught him.

    One important thing about boxing that people frequently overlook is that the athlete has to have a good mind for it. IMO studying video helps develop that aspect. There's no substitute for experience but you can't constantly train the body. While you're resting your body you can keep your mind in the game.

    All the guys have to train that sh i t, james dont need to train, he have it in his blood.
    James toney said that, but freddie sayd that its 100% right
    yea, you can learn it, but not like james so its better to learn from other guys.

    Well said. Even when i got days and sometimes even weeks out the gym I comeback improved. Why, because I am constantly visualizing offense, defense, punch mechanics and combination. A lot of guys put in the work in the gym but they still lack a good boxing mind or imagination if you will

    One trainer said when he was training kids at the boxing club he would simply show them video of good boxers then tell the boys to pretend like they were that boxer. Surprisingly the kids improved instantly.
