    R1 - Saunders
    R2 - Saunders
    R3 - 10-10
    R4 - Eubank
    R5 - 10-10
    R6 - Eubank
    R7 - 10-10
    R8 - Eubank
    R9 - Saunders
    R10 - Saunders
    R11 - Saunders
    R12 - 10-10

    117-115 Saunders

What a low-quality fight! Countless missing from both guys, hard to score scrappy rounds. Both looked really poor stamina-wise, Saunders becoming very sloppy in the second half and Eubank Jr only fighting in short spurts and blowing hard.

Eubank Jr had no balance on the front foot, overcommitting, overstepping... Saunders completely power-less so unable to truly punish him, and rarely took his biggest countering opportunities anyway when Jr would miss by miles..

The only shot of Eubanks that quite occasionally landed was the right uppercut.

Neither looked world-class at this stage.

Too be fair, they have both gone on to better things since. I think this fight helped them both move forward in a way.

Even Froch wouldn't have the audacity to score 4 even rounds! It's been a long time since I watched the fight but from what I remember Eubank was coming on strong in the last few rounds especially the last round which I thought was a clear Eubank round, you scored 10-10?

As Micker said, both fighters have come a long way since this fight happened early on in their career, I still want to see the rematch.

    R1 Saunders
    R2 Saunders
    R3 Saunders
    R4 Saunders
    R5 Saunders
    R6 Eubank
    R7 Eubank
    R8 Eubank
    R9 Saunders
    R10 Saunders
    R11 Eubank
    R12 Eubank

    115-113 Saunders

Can’t believe i’ve joined in with this, ha!

They weren’t all clear cut rounds so I can understand some people scoring it closer or even Eubank. Depends what you look for more, clear scoring shots (BJS) or pressure (Eubank).

Think my card was the same, maybe with another to Saunders. It was weird because I thought Saunders was a clear winner and obvious but in an extremely competitive fight.

R11 was a very clear Saunders round.

If very hard-pressed - 3 Eubank, 4 Eubank, 5 Saunders, 7 Saunders and 12 Saunders. The closest was maybe 3, or 5. Neither landed in 5!!

Saunders landed a few very nice, eye catching shots in round 11, but Eubank was not only landing a few of his own, he was applying all the pressure and forcing the pace. He was in control and BJS was hanging on.

The only things I remember is Saunders could’ve made that fight a lot easier if he’d used the jab more and that if it had gone on a couple more rounds jr would’ve caught Saunders

Yeah no doubt about it that Saunders won this, i actually enjoyed this fight. However i think Eubank wins in the rematch that WILL happen its just a matter of when.

Close fight but Saunders nicked it, the early rounds Saunders banked literally won him the fight.

This could be one of the strangest cards I have seen?
No way Saunders won the championship rounds, and 5 might have been Saunders best round.

1,2,5 were definitive Saunders rounds IMO
    6,11,12 were definitive Eubank rounds

Many rounds in between were tight, but I could never give Saunders all of the 1st 5

Will have to rewatch again to refresh my memory
I gave Eubank 3 and 10-10 in the 4th, I think I gave Saunders 9 and maybe 1 other round after 6 I can't remember which one or even if he got another one.

One thing for sure is the commentary was comical, they were even raving about Saunders chin when he was getting clocked. They gave Jr no credit and called him a bodybuilder, they were acting as if it was an easy clear cut victory when they scored it 115-113 and had a couple of close rounds.

At this point every man and his dog wanted Saunders to win so I am not surprised people claimed it was so clear which is bs.

Billy could have easily lost this and a couple of others, Akavov got robbed too.

5 was Saunders best round? He didn't land a punch.
