Benn has time on his side. Needs to improve his ring IQ and work on his defence. Tricky call on AJ. Is he hyped - without a doubt. Is it warranted - to a point. He’s a long way to go and it will be interesting to see what his resume looks like by the end of 2018. If he’s get wins against Parker, Povetkin, Fury and Wilder (although I can’t see this fight happening) then the hype will be justified. I’m not convinced he will still be champ by the end of next year. Eubanks is a beast. His work rate is phenomenal. His hard work and overall physicality has improved his standing. Still questions over his chin, but if he’s got a mush like his old man then I think he could be involved in some massive fights in 2018 and 2019. Fancy a late stoppage against Groves and then I can’t really see him as hyped.
How about Daniel Dubois?? Suppose he doesnt really have people hyping him yet..but what do you man think of him?
I see Willie Hutchinson as a much better Light heavy prospect than Yarde. Hutchinson was an ELITE Youth amateur - World championship Gold medalist and European Gold medalist, he's got great skills,
too early to say, looks good so far. people ARE hyping him and a bit too much. But there is better HW prospects in the world like Oleksandr Teslenko, Filip Hrgovic, Ivan Dychko, Vladyslav Sirenko, Joe Joyce.
Out of intrest who is hyping him..dont think many casuals know about him. .most people in my circle havent heard of him apart from those who follow boxing
Go watch the latest SecondsOut Warren interview. He says something about Dubois chin in sparring. You could take it to mean weak or strong chin either way. 10mins 10 seconds in This content is protected
casuals must be starting to get to know him because he's getting serious views of like 200,000 for his fights on youtube which is far more than an other heavyweight prospect and he never really did nothing in the amateurs. BT are hyping him and using him as chief support already, All over boxing forums people are mentioning his name the most in regards to the future of the heavyweight division, which I find very premature, and surprising when you've got a guy like Filip Hrgovic who looks better than Dubois and was actually proven in the amateurs and the WSB.
Neither AJ or CEJ can be called hype jobs set to fail because they are proven world class fighters. Conor Benn has already lost to a French journeyman who bounced him twice in the first round. He has already failed as a hype job. Even though the corrupt referee gave him the W. Actual hype jobs I do not rate that highly and don’t think will make world class. Lawrence Okolie for one. Okolie definitely has the vulnerabilities to lead to a loss soon.
Yes Downsie Price is the ultimate HW hype job. Until he was bounced and trounced by a US journeyman twice.
That's the one, and look where they are now. It's all very well living off sparing stories, but that wont define your career.
AJ really? I’m not comparing opposition but AJ already has the same number of successful World title fights as Frazier, Foreman, Bowe and Moorer. Plus the same number of successful consecutive defences as Frazier and Holyfield.
I'm gonna go with David Price. His website has a load of testimonials going on about what a great job he did, but there are rumours going round of leaky pipes, only a matter of time before one bursts.
