I used to make it a ritual to guzzle copious amounts of alcohol while watching these awesome Russian cards. Have really cut back on the drinking though, keep it down to 2-3 times a month now and enjoy a good buzz more than anything else.

I "just" smoke a lot of weed. It leaves me equal parts brain dead and also really appreciative of the sport in a way. Really lets you get sucked into it sometimes.
