Anthony Joshua vs Povetkin Predictions?

Assuming Povetkin chooses the WBA route which looks the case, we already know people are split on the Joshua Wilder situation what about Joshua/Povetkin?


Also im practising making a few promo videos if anyones got advice or tips, its only my first one (below) which is why its quite amateurish but hopefully ill get better.

I suspect Povetkin will just be too old by the time they fight.

Not sure if it will be a KO or UD as Povetkin took a ton of punishment from Wlad and never really got wobbled.

I thought the video seemed fairly well done, although a bit "gay" for me. Which I suppose shouldn't be surprising considering your avatar.

 

I think hes got more chance going the WBO route if im honest, and LOL.

 

Well, sure, considering Parker sucks. But I'm now thinking even Parker would be too much for old Povetkin. I feel like it would play out pretty much exactly like Parker vs Takam.

I just don't see Povetkin winning a belt. Which is tragic considering how great he was.

 

Yeah Povetkin has lost a step, he can't just stand there in front of Joshua and do nothing like he did against Hammer, he'll get lit up badly if he does that.

Wlad could of stopped him if he hadn't continually smothered his work. He had him hurt badly on a few occasions but his finishing was poor. I think Joshua will do better in this regard and will stop Povetkin.

Agreed about the vid, not sure if it was promoting them fighting or them about to slather each other in oil and play hide the sausage, lol.

 

Joshua KO 5 via uppercut as Povetkin tries to close the distance.

 

I can only see a Joshua win at this point. I just don't think Povetkin is the man to hand AJ his first loss. If Klitschko couldn't do it... However, I was torn between KO or UD. I don't think AJ knocks him out, but I can see a stoppage like we saw in the Takam fight.

 

Povetkin needs to fight for the WBO title if he wants to win a championship. I think he can win that one, without the PED's. I don't think theres much chance against the bodybuilder Joshua though.

 

He could beat JP with workrate maybe.

 

AJ by TKO. Juiced up Povetkin will never hit the canvas but ref would stop it.

 

I had to shut that promo off thought I stumbled onto some late night cable movie with no women.

Povetkin can still win a belt. Does he beat Joshua unlikely but not impossible.

 

Joshua wins by KO or TKO by round 10..cant see how Povetkin would win this, his display against Hammer wasn't great..
Out of interest, if you seriously think Povetkin will win, how is he going to do it?

 

Late stoppage by Joshua seems reasonable...however, isn't Joshua frequently accused of running out of gas late?

 

Last 2 performances by Povetkin have been workmanlike but nothing great.

The best version of Sasha beats Joshua X, but age does seem to be catching up with him.

However, Povetkin would be head and shoulders above everyone not named Wlad that Joshua X has fought.

 

Chances are Povetkin gets a decent haircut before that happens if he goes the WBA route.
