BJS vs. GGG same as Fury vs. Klitschko?

Thoughts? I heard people making these comparisons after the Lemieux fight.

How exactly is GGG going to beat and actually land a punch? How is BJS going to deal with the pressure and can he take body punches?

Golovkin murdered Lemieux... Guy is overrated, and he was injured aswell. GGGs best skill is to cut the ring, BJS won't be able to play his game for long, fight stops before the 12th round-. Hope it will happen, after the Canelo rematch. But if GGG wins the rematch in May, it will be a trilogy so Saunders has to wait.

What happened in the Canelo fight if he's so good at cutting off the ring?

He clearly won 116-112 against someone, who did nothing between round 4 and round 9, just dancing back. Nobody sad GGG is a robot, (he had tough fights Jacobs), and he will knock out everyone in 3 round, but he won. Bad luck that scumbag De La Hoya made sure (again) that the cashcow cannot loose.

Since GGG has an amazing chin unlike Wlad and isn't afraid of being countered repeatedly like Wlad was, No. It would be much more competitive. Billy Joe is also capable of riding with, smothering and evading many of GGG's incoming shots, including body work, GGG will land more than Wlad, but not with the full blunt force behind it. Which is why this matchup has always intrigued me, and that I've always seen it as winnable for Billy Joe.

I also believe that a discipline and focused Billy Joe Saunders can beat GGG if he stays away from the junk food and inactivity. If he blows up between the supposed Canelo vs GGG rematch then I will have to recant my decision and rename him "Adrien Joe Saunders" because they are both wasting potential and have suicide beards.

There's a very solid case for Canelo winning 6 rounds , but im talking about ring cutting not the score cards.

Throughout the 12 rounds Canelo was never under any duress , didn't even get hurt , im wondering how thats possible if GGG is so good at cutting off the ring.. Im not saying he isn't , but if he wasn't able to trap and beat down Canelo , then how is he going to do it vs Saunders who moves better off the back foot?

When Golovkin did push forward against a retreating Canelo he did actually cut off the ring well. The problem he had was that Canelo wasn't afraid to just stand in front of him and was able to keep a lot of the fight in the centre of the ring because he didn't just retreat when GGG came at him. Also even when he was on the ropes and pinned Golovkin couldn't really hit him consistently.

Saunder's won't fight like Canelo, I don't think he's elusive enough on the inside to get away with what Canelo did, he'd have to get on his bike and move far more. Maybe he can keep Golovkin at range but if anyone can cut off the ring on him it's GGG.

Well if i had to answer my own question is would be that Golovkin was prevented from walking Canelo down from fear of receiving sharp counters. Its likely also a reason why he didn't commit to a body attack.
But Canelo did make GGG reset a number of times with the same pivots Bill used on Lemiuex before he looked out into the crowd.
Since GGG didn't grind down Canelo i can't see him walking through Billys deceptively heavy shots to grind him down either.
I reckon the ship has sailed on that fight , but timing has a lot to do with it as well.

He did cut well the ring, and he was in position plenty of times, but Kellerman was right, he let Canelo escape most of the time, and GGG didn't take enough risk to go even closer and do some bodyshots. If he does, the risk is there that he will be countered by a huge Canelo shot. Hope the rematch will happen, and we can see these type of actions.

I think centre rings belongs to GGG because of his more powerful jab, BJS' is much faster but I don't see it doing much damage to GGG. Once GGG's jab starts to take an effect on BJS, i can see GGG in his seek and destroy mode cutting off the ring, and landing some glancing shots on BJS, whilst still receiving some stiff counters in between. This is how I see how all of the fight playing out throughout all of the rounds.

Prime GGG cuts off the ring waaaay better than this GGG does, and with BJS being in his best conditions to date, its up for grabs as to who will win. I think BJS will survive the 12rounds because his best asset is not taking damage, against a monster puncher like GGG this is needed to survive the onslaught. I think GGG wins just because he's great at getting in range and landing his shots, he even did that Vs DJ who was fighting on the back-foot for most of their bout. I see this fight being similar, and see GGG sneaking a close victory.

You don't know that. I think He'd respect Billy the same way he did CanelO for obvious reasons, but the real question is how would BJS react when he's hit clean and hard by GGG. I doubt his chin is as good as Canelo, which is why i can't see him beating GGG.
