I am never, ever betting on a fighter trained by McGirt again. Ever.

Buddy is terrible, he gives the worst advice in the corner I ever seen, I blame him for Brewster losing like that to Wlad the second time around, he tried to teach him how to avoid punches and pick your shots more, thats not how Brewster wins fights, "Relentless" is his style.

forrest was doing well, untill he blew his load. mora fought at a high pace too, which compounded vernon's stamina issue. prime forrest destroys mora. mcgirt is horrible trainer. remember when he told gatti to box mayweather?:nut

:patsch You would think the guy never boxed before with the type of advice he gives his fighters, I wish he would say more to his fighters than "Stick and move baby, you got him" after his fighters lost the last couple rounds in a row. I though Goosen was bad in the early 2000's, when he cared more about the highlights in his hair than his fighter, but Buddy now is the worst by far IMO.

He is definatly a contender, although I think a lot of the crap training happened behind the scenes as Forrest hardly seemed prepared to fight. What was he winded from? I felt if he had come out faster and shut Mora down early before he gained momentum and confidence he would have beat him easily, or at least decisioned him. Why don't good jabbers throw the jab more?! Seriously... I don't know why...

McGirt is a good trainer whose fighters never, ever listen to him.

He's not jinxed he's just extremely overrated.

When Forrest needed to use that jab Buddy was in the corner telling him to throw short punches inside. That is not where Forrest should have been.

Mora is not very good. He's open to the jab and the right hand. Everytime Forrest used it he did good. If he was pushing Mora back he was winning the fight. And half the time he didn't even need to push Mora back because Mora was doing nothing anyways.

I cant fully answer your last question, but IMO it's the fact that they want to create a more interesting fight, and jabs dont do it, we have already seen how much backlash Wlad's been getting lately, so winning isnt always everything, especially if your trying to grow your fan base and keep people interested in you, thats just the way I see it.

Well that is the problem... he is a decent trainer in championship fights. But still... it didn't seem like all his advice was bad. Hell, Veron was so dead out there ridiculous advice like 'work more out there' seemed as helpful as anything else he could say. Vernon has showed us talent so we know he has it... McGirt needs to bring that out and for some reason he doesn't. This problem seems to be a somewhat reoccuring one which once again leads me to believe he might not be that great. I still think it might be he sucks at getting them motivated before the fight to train hard and ****... Vernon just was so underwhelming.

I dunno... a couple times when Forrest almost seemed to come to life and threw a few punches in the first segment of the fight seemed somewhat effective. A good head snapping jab followed by quality follow ups isn't really boring if it is what works. And I haven't really watched a lot of Wlad fights and my memory is hazy but doesn't he hold? If not... maybe I should watch some of his recent fights... :think

The guy is so consistently bad that I must surmise that he bets against his own fighters.
