I’d say sometime in 2019. After a few brutal knockouts after FINALLY stepping up in competition. He doesn’t seem like the type to bounce back after being exposed. He’ll go downhill real quick. Maybe get sexual assault charges filed against him again.
He'll probably fight until he's like Roy Jones Jr age after making no money by ducking all the champions/able bodied fighters. But hopefully he just retires like tomorrow and stops holding that belt hostage
Once he has enough money to buy Alabama and become the unquestioned lord and master of that wonderful state.
He's got a lot left physically. Mentally? If or WHEN he loses to Joshua will he compete again? Will he go beyond two fights with Joshua? I would like to see him fight other top guys besides Joshua like Fury down the road. His mannerisms tell me he will say he has nothing more to prove with a loss or two.
He has a promising career after boxing in providing clean energy via wind power. Deontay Wilder to save the World 2020 - you heard it here first.
The fact that this guy is already 32, has had so many fights, is the WBC holder, and yet still hasnt fought a decent impressive opponent yet Laughable. I can see this sheltered clown retiring without having fought anyone legit, yes Biggest clown in boxing
I believe it may be sooner rather than later and I also believe that his negotiated fight with Luis Ortiz is being overlooked by many boxing pundits. Wilder could and will easily lose to Ortiz. That said, Joshua may never even get to Wilder. That's the truth. Wilder is a hype job; he would have already lost to Povetkin had they met in 2016, and quite possibly, wouldn't even be fighting anymore if that happened. It doesn't look like Deontay has that much left. And his management is pretty foolish putting him in with Ortiz, looking past the Cuban. They will pay for it for sure.
Right before he steps up. Claiming everyone is ducking him. Followed by endless twitter announcements that he has a upcoming announcement to make.
How long will the WBC be happy with the current situation and the current ridicule they are receiving for having him as their HW champion? I would give it another 2 years tops. He then gets thrown in at the deep end, and brutally stopped. We all saw what Dustin Nicholls and Harold Sconiers did to him. God only knows what an elite HW would do. And he still skips his leg work.
He keeps himself in great shape in and out of the ring so being 32 doesnt feel like the tail end of his career. But he does have bad hands that are always guna keep deteriorating. 2018 sounds like its guna be a big year for him, looking at Ortiz and Joshua if he comes out the other end of 2018 unbeaten or loses but in a good competitive fashion he is going nowhere, If he loses badly and it looks like he is clearly a bit out of his depth, who knows.
When he has made some really big dosh .He is in good condition and doesn't have any miles on the clock if he keeps fighting low grade opposition he could go on for years picking up decent money for little risk.guys on this forum say wilder only get a million dollars per fight! .two a year not a bad dosh for low risk fights.
After he gets destroyed or embarrased by AJ or Fury... He'll retire and claim he was still one of the GOAT LMAO.
