Buddy McGirt Is A Horrible Trainer

He does hold, but the jab is his primary weapon of choice, ever since he got destroyed by Sanders in 03, since then he has become a very timid and quite boring of a fighter, with a few exceptions inbetween.

If you decide to watch one of his fights, Wlad/Iggy fight will put you to sleep, it was a real disgrace to the Heavyweight division, it being the first unification fight in nearly 9 years.

 

i watched the first couple rounds and it was boring as hell....either forrest is not listening to mcgirt or he just doesnt have the skills anymore.

 

I Don't Know If Somebody Already Said It , But Emmanuel Steward Is Hands Down The Worst.... I'm Not Joking When I Say My 11 Yr. Old Kid Can Do A Better Job..... Seriously!!!

I think I see what you are saying.. but I think that had Vernon used his sometimes good jab he would have opened up oppertunities to be exciting and probably hurt Mora (unless he is just too old or something at this point), which would have resulted in a much more exciting fight than the good workrate beating apathetic looking even if I don't think it was all bad as I kept expecting Vernon to come to life but he just never did... when he said he was winded I thought, 'wtf.' I was hopeing he was saving himself, not already tired.

 

Steward is a little overrated by some, but his transformation of Wlad most recently was amazing, he took from a glass chinned hype job, to world renowned champion, in 3 years, and has held the thrown down for the last 2 plus years, since he beat Bryd in April of 06.

Steward is one of the most accomplished trainers currently training today, yeah, he's had a few fights lately, but he's still one of the best out there, and one of the most sought out trainers for top boxers.

 

What's funny is, before the fight I was seeing more and more people list Forrest as a threat to Floyd and another one of the fighters he should have had to face.

 

I guess it was bad camp, or just bad night, or both. I dont see him getting to the top again anyways, his best years are behind him. It sucks seeing really good past prime fighters get beat by the likes of Mora, retirement should be his next battle.
