Lemieux: I would beat Saunders if my shoulder was 100%

    This is just embarrassing, it’s becoming Pacquaio level antics. At least Pacqiuao was coming up against one of the best of his era, Saunders had not even looked good in years when he took this fight and he toyed with Lemieux.

    Lemieux is straight up delusional, I could excuse him for the GGG loss but not this one, he was shown his level and that’s below world level. Anyone with a capable jab and decent footwork will beat this guy.

    Does anyone believe this excuse?

    No i dont believe that. I believe he may of been injured but i dont believe a Lemieux in full working order beats Billy Joe Saunders. Lemieux is a top level brawler and deseveres to be in the mix with the top of the division but top level brawler vs a top level Boxer and the brawler will end up looking a bit average.

    Take the defeat Lemmy, Golovkin and Saunders are better than you, still other big fights for you.

    I always hated excuses. And when would that shoulder be better? What if he says the shoulder is good and then after say it went bad during the fight. He lost.

    To be fair to Haye he’s injury was clearly visible and he didn’t use the excuse the way most people would because he knew it would be a lot of backlash so he mentioned and kinda moved on.

    Never struck me like that tbh, always thought he was one of boxings nice guys.. With his backing, the excuse is trying to limit the damage that fight caused against Saunders. They want more paydays out of Lemieux yet !

    4 arms and 4 shoulder joints and he still wouldnt of beaten Saunders on that night.

    Matched right he can be a wrecking machine again, but I don't think he gets much better at this stage. Hes got flaws that are monumental. He was looking to throw the right from a distance like a shot putter throws the shot, like you would on one of them punch machines at a fair. Saunders I'm sure could've stopped him, the gulf was astronomical !

    Every fighter who fights in a Worldclass fight should sign a contract before the weigh in that he is 100% healthy.
    If this injury has happend during the fight it's bad luck. If it's happend before the fight and now he give this excuses he betrayed the audience.
