Pavlik's chin maybe somewhat questionable, but honestly calzaghe has a pair of featherdusters. Not really the type of power that Taylor possessed and poses a threat to Pavlik.

Calzaghe was 25 years old when he fought Chris Eubank.

Eubank had over 20 WBO Middle and Super Middleweight title fights
he had stopped among others Nigel Benn who had gone to AMerica and knocked out Doug De Witt and Iran Barkley and in London stopped Gerald McCelenan.

Calzaghe had never fought anyone in Eubanks class.

He could sink or swim - and he swam.

To ignore this fight to pretend Calzaghe had never been tested as a 25 year old is very unfair.

Don`t know why some people still have a go at Calzaghe calling him a slapper .He ****in whacked Lacy didn`t he,he ****in schooled him.He was the first to put Chris Eubank down from a wicked left hand and even Marvin the marvellous would`ve had a job knocking Eubank off his feet.Calzaghe does occaisionally slap his punches a tendency to throw them down but he can hit hard when he lands them properly.

I think Pavlik could be a fighter of Nigel Benn quality. For me, thats a very big compliment and would make him one of the best 160/168 pound fighters of the past 20 years.

For others that would make him a " Euro Bum".

It all depends on whether you like the sport of Boxing or like what the television stations tell you.

Yeah, I've seen nearly all of Joe's fights .. he deserves some credit .. but Eubanks had almost no time to lose the weight .. you forgetting that?

But, Eubanks isn't a James Toney, or a Roy Jones Jr nor a Bernard Hopkins .... in the US, Joe's ZERO would have been on the line from that fight on and he wouldn't have been allowed to duck the best and call himself a champ ... fact. Just like DM certainly wasn't a real champ ....

Agreed. Pav looked really good but if peeps really think that he has that kind of night against calzaghe then they are delusional. I think many pavloids think that calzaghe will just stand and be hit by pav :rofl:rofl
