    Not everybody is a star with a big promotional contract and training expenses paid for what kind of day jobs do some noteworthy boxers have?

    Calvin Brock--Financial consultant

    Gene Fullmer--Welder

    Micky Ward---Road construction worker

    Joe Smith---Construction worker

    Jeff Horn---teacher

    Eric Molina---teacher

    Joe Mesi---teacher

    Lewis Wood---firefighter

    Polo Saucedo--carpet installer

    Manny Pacquiao--actor, baskeball player, senator, product endorser, army colonel I'm not making this up

    A couple of guys were practicing medical doctors. I don't remember their names though.

    And I think Roy Jones Jr. fought every member of the Village People except Hector Camacho.

    Most pro boxers are actually semi-pros, as you usually can't live of the income from boxing alone. There are some "amateurs" that are more professional than most of the pros, with state sponsored jobs, that can actually train full time or part-time while on the clock.

    Wasn't Corrie Sanders a policeman or firefighter? I think Sanders was a cop and Botha was a fireman.
