Frampton stated specifically in an IFL interview that Valdes is the fight he wanted for Windsor Park, I bet they are gutted he's gone for Quigg.

    Really like this fight.

Seems reasonable in fairness. I think e made a mistake for not going with Hearn personally.

Probably thought it was a given considering it was the WBO. The best result for Frampton is Quigg losing.

Donaire is hardly a name. No one besides hardcore boxing fans would have a clue who he is. Rigo just fought Lomachenko and almost nobody cared in the wider public. And Rigo absolutely outclassed Donaire which is the first thing casuals will pick up on when they boxrec him.

Frampton's name will sell the fight, not Donaire's.

I think alot more casuals will know donaire more then valdez I think frampton will beat Valdez but it's probably more of a risk and he doesn't want to lose the chance to fight Warrington Vs Selby winner imo

100% agree. I mentioned on a mythical match up thread about how Froch v Benn style wise would have been immense this fights like a cheap version of such a match up and I mean that as a compliment. I think to watch would be best match up in division.

Not true mate - Lot of casuals know about Loma as he is very popular on instagram. I was surprised just how many of my work mates knew about him.

Re this fight, feel like Eddie is just feeding another live underdog to the states like he did with Burns vs that fat *******.

Yeah the coaches might be watching through their fingers, but I can't see anything but entertainment for us. Chance for Quigg to get right back in the mix, fortune favours the brave

BS. Quigg should be challenging for titles. If he isn't gonna fight Valdez then give up the sport.

Well only 2000-3000 fans were in attendance for his fight v Rigo. Most casuals I know don't know who the likes of Quigg and Callum Smith are let alone a foreign fighter who isn't big commercially like Lomo. Not slaggimg him as to me he is the Messi of boxing a wee genius, but he has a low profile.

Exactly m8. I do feel that both boxers are likely to never be as good again after this fight as it will take something from them. So if it happens I take my hat of to them and hope they are being well paid.

Ok but equally it could flop. Remember Frampton v Quigg..it was supposed to be a great fight too.

Quigg and Valdez have both lost both career momentum and fans recently. Neither has lived up to fans expectations. It's time to "pee or Get off the pot" for these two.
