I see him comin out of retirement like SRL to fight either cotto or margo. Whoever is the dominant champ at the time. I believe it will be cotto.

I'd rather see Floyd retire than avoid all of the top guys at WW while saying 'what's in it for me'.
We also avoid listening to all of his arse-licking fans saying how happy they are that Floyd is enjoying his money and he doesn't need to fight the best to prove he's the best.
Is this not boxing? I want to see the champion fight the guys that have a chance at taking the belt. I'm not interested in someone who is just in it for the money. If that's your thing wait for Floyd's reality tv programme, but get the **** out of boxing.

And has he done a favour in retiring as being the pound for pound number 1 and the best fighter in the world he should be taking on the best which in the last 2 years he hasnt.

Done boxing a favor because the PBF-Oscar rematch won't take place but that's it. Anytime you lose the best talent in any sport it hurts.

    Floyd Mayweather will fight again.

This is just Floyd's way of exercising his dominion over the sport of boxing. He calls the shots. He says he's retired. He's retired.

And if you believe that I've got some condos in Florida that I want to sell to you.

    But what's better:

To have Mayweather fighting De la Hoya or to not gave Mayweather fighting at all?

Yeah he put his critics to rest and the fact that no one really cared about the fight even though it may generate alot of numbers ... for once it was not about the money ...

I think its cool that he retired ... he did boxing a favor ... he's opening the door for someone else to come and make a name for themselves ... something that DLH, Jones, Holyfield, Tarver, Hopkins, and Mosley should do ...

Yes!! I'm glad the piece of **** decided to quit, again. He did nothing but beat 2 good WWs and a limey hypejob, hooray for Floyd, meanwhile Miguel Cotto has had a reign of domination, and it will continue

Yeah...that's what Mayweather's career was: wins over 2 good welterweights and a limey hypejob. :rofl

Cotto has had a reign of domination? He didn't dominate Mosley, Judah, and he probably won't dominate Margarito. :huh :huh

    Domination: Trinidad-Hopkins, Mayweather-Corrales, Lewis-Tua.

He is still in his prime, there are still fights out there. Imagine if fighters just started retiring while still in their prime. Thats not good for the sport.

Yes. He was holding up the WW division and not doing anything of interest. Not to mention, if I want to see an exciting version of Mayweather jr, today's version isn't it. I'll watch and old fight thank you.
