Yeah, but despite the fact I have been explictly clear in favoring Tyson over Baer, you are claiming Im trying to convince others Baer beats Tyson, so im going to have to challenge your credability on the subject. You seem weird, petty, and unreliable.

I would much rather analyze and argue the Tucker vs Baer match up itself, then which side is more left field.

KuRuPT turned this into an ad hominem by refusing to address the arguments and accusing me of exaggerating Baer by making him a legend..when the irony is that he is in fact a genuine legend, it is Ruddock and Tucker who are not.

You have ignored my post addressing Baer vs Tucker, and instead chose to respond to my retort of Kurupt's Ad hominem which you apparently "liked", so if you want to go that way I have no interest beyond what I have already stated. I'm more than willing to discuss boxing, whenever you are willing to return to the subject.

 

With his looks, personality and his antics in and out of the ring, Baer could have been a superstar if he was around today but he ain’t beating Tyson in a fight.

 

Baer was as tough as they come and had power to go with it but was just to wild and did have the fundermentals I mean if he landed on Tyson I think it would be over but I think with Tyson's style bear wouldn't have a clue what to do in the early rounds probably would end early but if baer can get to the middle rounds it could be interesting because Tyson like in the 10 rounders he had he did slow down and his opponents started having abit success

 

Baer's best tactics against Tyson would be tying him up and getting down and dirty in the trenches like he did vs Galento in the early stages. He might frustrate him. Odds would be against him tho.

Even Baer who was a dynamite puncher would struggle to knock even a 2002 Tyson out with a single shot. His ability to take Bombs especially early was top notch. A fatigued and discouraged Tyson can be stopped with combinations but he has to be outclassed and brutally beaten up for several rounds first.

Also Douglas Lewis and Holyfield were all faster than Mike, beat him to the punch and countered his counter when they beat him.

I find it hard to imagine anyone knocking out Tyson with one shot, given the shots we've seen him take with little noticeable effect. The only time I can recall him even being stunned with one shot is the first Bruno fight.

Yup. The blueprint to beat him is obviously out there but knocking him out early or with one shot is not it. He has to be tired out, demoralized and finally beaten to a pulp. And you've got to be genuinely better than him on the night of the fight to do that.

Tyson had an incredibly agressive and risky style (even coming in with his feet squared up often) yet he did not suffer one single early/flash knockdown in his career even when he didn't perform well. that says something about his chin.
