Wouldn't have matter if the fight had continued. It would have just
delayed the inevitable. Foreman was saved from serious hurt as when
a fighter is exhausted he is most vulnerable to long term injury.

I have no problem with the stoppage. George was too exhausted to continue anyway. But l'v always had an issue with the ropes being too loose. They were loose enough to allow Ali to avoid getting hit in the head leaving Foreman no choice but to go after the body. That said l doubt anyone but Ali could have taken those bodyshots and stayed up. I would have loved to have seen a rematch.

Interesting. I don't think of Ali of that period as lacking the confidence to land a punch, if not a combination of punches, on a sprawling defenseless opponent so as to not to look clumsy. He didn't seem to have difficulty landing, or seem to be suffering from trepidation resulting in him hesitating leading up to the knockdown and ultimately the knockout Foreman was the one who stated Ali could have landed additional blows, and sometimes George should be taken with a grain of salt but he was pretty close to the action! What is your source?

To say Ali barely got hit during the fight is laughable Foreman was wrecking his body. https://i.imgur.com/qfVycS4.mp4 https://i.imgur.com/VPM5cIX.mp4 https://i.imgur.com/sLXyFRo.mp4
