No. If he was as limited as Hatton you wouldn't feel so threatened by him, and wouldn't feel the need to make a thread about him to downplay his abilities.

Your logic is flawless, "this guy is gonna beat this guy because he's gonna beat him." The outcome of this matchup is very much in question and its decided in the ring, not by internet duschebags. Its why fighters step in the ring in the first place.

 

I wouldn't go as far and compare Hatton to Pavlik. Pavlik does not hold and clinch like Hatton. Pavlik fights with a more controlled style, with the dirty ****. Both are strong White boys, but I won't say Pavlik is the American version of Hatton.

 

No, you made a thread about him because he represents a challenge to the supremacy of Calzaghe and you feel better downplaying him than giving him his respect.

Him being overhyped is a reason not to make a thread about him or to think of him at all really.

 

Difference between pavlik and hatton is that pavlik has skills and he doesn't use the word '****' in every sentence.

Many similarities but Pavlik isn't undersized and has a serious punch. Hatton seems to have hit a wall. He's getting too big for Jr. Welter but isn't strong enough to bully and wear down fighters at 147.

 

People who think either Hatton or Pavlik are talentles know **** all about boxing. The same morons who tout a guy as the next ATG because he puts together insane combinations and has hand speed, yet is fundementally flawed.

Both Hatton and Pavlik are incredibly good at what they do. It's not flawless but it works.

I'd love to know what these people also think of guys like Max Baer, George Foreman, Bob Fitzsimmons, Carlos Monzon and many more. I'm sure they were all ****ing bums too.
