What you don't know is rapidly becoming apparent. You have decided in your infinite "wisdom" that because Joe said (something like, of course) "if Pavlik wants to test himself he can move up", obviously Calzaghe should be pulling out all the stops to make the fight happen. Despite the fact, that Pavlik would be moving up, despite the fact, that Pavlik would be the challenger, and despite the fact, that when questioned last night on who he would like to face next, Pavlik failed to "challenge" Calzaghe. Other than those minor details, outstanding thread.
Notice no veteran posters are disputing this? ThinkTFFP and Amsterdam would not be tearing me a new one if it wasn't true?
Groan, how many months do we now have to go through the back and forth, who's ducking who, who deserves to fight who nonsense that always happens when a big fight like this is mentioned. OP, you are correct, this fight should happen. No reason it shouldn't.
Incredible counter argument. You must be a professional. I neither know, nor care, who the "veteran posters" are. Just because someone has hung around long enough to amass a load of shitty posts means nothing to me. Your post count is irrelevant. Your join date is irrelevant. The contents of your posts on the other hand, is completely relevant.
You made up **** and were called on it. Unfortunately, you don't have the balls to even attempt to back up your claims. Now, normally, this would make ridiculing you more difficult. Fortunately, you continue to post.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kUEDwhGxnyE At the end of this vid, He states Pavlik is the fight he wants next. Granted it's not a "calling out" but it still shows where his intention lies.
And he has said exactly the same thing about Jones. Just as Pavlik said last night he would consider Calzaghe, Abraham, etc. Now, go back and read the first idiotic post in this thread. According to the halfwit who started this monstrosity, Joe has been calling out/challenging Pavlik since Taylor 1.
I don't know if he has or hasn't, I just knew that there WAS video of Calzaghe trying to angle for a Pavlik fight. Figured if it could be of any use to this thread, might as well share it.
Then why wasn't he in attendance last night to get a 1st hand look? He wants another old man in RJJ for a big pay day. After Lockett tells Joe just how hard Kelly hits, that will seal the deal for Calzaghe to stay as far away from KP as he can. Still kinda tired from getting home almost 4am from AC. I'll give a more in depth review of the evening after I recoup some energy. (((((((GO PAVLIK))))))) :!:
calzaghe will fight either jones or pavlik his next fight. jones would most likely bring the most money, but pavlik would be by far the harder challenge, esp. after the way pavlik looked last night.
I would assume he had better things to do than watch a F level fighter get knocked out. Also, you may not be aware of this, but his trainer was in attendance.
They are measuring the indentations on Lockett's face and body this morning and deciding on Jones. :yep
