Same as me, except the convincingly part. He definitely lost a close decision to Hughie Fury for me. Couldn't agree more with that. 100%
I’ll throw a tenner on a Parker KO because anything can happen in heavyweight boxing as we all know. This fight as been in the pipeline for a couple of years now since Sky started harping on about an unbeaten kiwi who was knocking everyone out. Him and Joshua were both fighting tin cans and having a lot of joy. Then they both stepped up a couple of levels and Joshua carried on sparking opponents out whilst Parker started labouring to very debatable 12 round decisions. Joshua is a level above him. Parker has copped too many shots these past few fights against the likes of Ruiz, Takam & Hughie and got away with it because none of them hit nowhere near as hard as Joshua does. For all my criticism of him, his shot selection is on point and it’s brutal.
Young legs Stamina Chin No fear of getting ktfo If Parker gets him going I don't think he will be patient to the point of letting him off the hook. If he gets him going he will go for the kill even if that puts him in danger. I give Parker a 25-30% chance and if he wins it will be by KO, he can't beat AJ on points imo
Your a Hatton fan ?? The same fans that thought he would beat Mayweather and Pacquaio.Nope i dont take a word what you fans say seriously ?? Joshua Parker going to go to points most likely.
Styles make fights not many heavys move like Takem. Parker is a lot more upright and while he has decent defensive qualitys. He still giving up a good deal in height, reach and weight. I just think Joshua could turn into Wlad for this fight hard jab right hand keep Parker at range and let the heavys hands do the work. Parker has to get on the front foot and make it ugly thow lots, not even hard punches but volume make Josuha have to move that big frame around. Then if the oppertunity presents itself dig to the body - we dont see huge amounts of that with the heavys but it may help so and tires Josuha. That's Parker chance i dont see him stopping Joshua in a shoot out That said Parker struggled with Takem, Joushua didnt look brilliant but even without the stoppage was well in control and took most of the rounds. Takem is a bit different in his movement and his stance, Parker isnt. He's young and hungry which makes him dangerous to a point but i just think everything is against him.
I dont think Parker will win but i dont think he will be blown away. If he moves at angles and utilises his quality overhand right he has a chance. Joshua is open to the overhand right it's a weakness of his.
No, he isn't. But AJ does tend to gas at times and I don't see any reason to think Parker's power is much different to Whyte's, so it could happen. The odds rightly reflect it, mind.
