Thats what Lampley was saying lastnight & I believe that honestly will be the case. KP representes everyting good in boxing & in life. I'm so happy for his success & hope this guy attains SuperStardom, cause he certainly deserves it. His fanbase will continue to grow, & anyone who isn't a fan should begin following another sport. I even saw black boxing fans in Braodwalk Hall last night wearing KP T-shirts. The momentum is in motion & no telling where or when its gonna stop. Hopefully not for the next 4 years, until he decides to hang 'em up one sad day in the future.

Many people will look towards Pavlik now as the new star of boxing, however he's not rounded enough to be a superstar and there's a few I would pick to beat him, Calzaghe, Kessler, possibly Winky, Abraham, Andrade aswell, maybe even Bute if he can whether some shots.

He is an enigma, for sure. But you can't agrue that he gets the job done. As far the the players you mentioned, line 'em up!:!:

Probably a good thing. He doesn't have the eye poping skills that you need in true super star. But the guy's a real bad ass. He'd be great as the face of the sport.

Admittedly he is very effective in what he does, I just feel he needs to improve and his general boxing ability, he can't rely on his power forever, especially if/when he steps up in weight.

Out of those names I've mentioned I would pick only Calzaghe against him at this moment in time, I need to see how Kessler and Winky react to their defeats first, see how Abraham fairs against Miranda and see Bute/Andrade against a top quality opponent.

He's an exciting fighter and an exciting fighter always gets support. Fighting Calzaghe next will be a quick end to this reign but we'll see if that fight will ever happen, pretty sure Calzaghe wants it BAD and for obvious reasons.

Why, cause KP is "stealing" some of his spolight? Kellys said he wants Joe before he gets another day older, so people won't say he beat an old man. And that he wants Joe, because so many treat him like he's "the cream of the crop". Kelly said he wants to knock that cream off of the top.

It would be some battle of 2 head-strong guys, for sure. But as usual, I don't see Joe hurting him, but what Pavlik would do will shock alot of fans.

Excuse me here but you're kind of delusional. You honestly think that a one-dimensional fighter like Pavlik would be too difficult for Calzaghe to figure out and take advantage of?, you missed the Lacy fight? :huh
Pavlik CAN be hurt, both Taylor and Miranda hurt him, Taylor caught him in the rematch with a punch he didn't see and Pavlik wobbled. There's no way in hell Calzaghe won't hurt him, Calzaghe would land a punch Pavlik won't see and he'll eventually get hurt or even stopped/dropped late. If Calzaghe got Hopkins confused at times then expect Pavlik to be confused from the start to finish. Easy fight for Calzaghe to be painfully honest.

I would give Dawson or even Johnson way better shots here. Pavlik has gone 12 full rounds only once in his career he'll be as difficult as Lacy was for Calzaghe.

Wont last the 12 like Lacy did though. Wouldn't be surprised to see it over in 5-7 rounds.

Dawson would ice Pavlik off also.
