I always wondered how the belts got their specific colors but never wondered enough to actually look it up. Green for glory was the best part of the tweet for me.

Anyone happen to know why the WBA is black, IBF is red, or WBO is burgundy?

Outside of that, I'm a Wilder fan and i'm off put by randomness and sappiness of the tweet. I expect the WBC to back their fighters but this is a bit out of nowhere and over the top for me personally.

Edit - Did he have a baby or some such? Any reason for this at all or just a random supportive tweet like the WBC is his mommy and twitter his lunch box?

Respect the man but not his management,he’s been handled very badly,if he’d fought Wlad he’d be a star but as it is he’s fought bad opponents which is why he doesn’t get the love or respect he thinks he deserves.

I agree. Plus him pulling up the race thing looks like he doesn't have the heart to man up and accept that his promoter failed him. Joshua is AFRICAN and look at his backing, Fury is so hated the government came after him and look at his backing.
Wilder is a nice guy generally but he has to be honest with himself. Next he should hire Broner to teach him some web based self promotion. Hell, if Broner took it serious he could make more doing that than boxing.

He started doing this after the Gavin Rees fight. Sold out his next 5 fights.

Why do you guy believe unknowns from dixie get any opportunities? I mean why is it easier for youse to believe either his management failed him or that there's some sort of WBC conspiracy in his favor to keep him both safe and the champion over what Wilder's said since his very early days, poor black men from dixie don't have many opportunities?

Speaking as a man who has never lived anywhere but Dixieland I have no reason to not believe him. Internationally we're a joke because of our general redneckry and backwoods culture. As soon as we step into an international scene the whole community lets us know they're waiting for us to fail. I challenge to find a period where Wilder's not heavily criticized and expected to fail. You don't think that carries into the opportunities presented to him?

His skin colour and nationality are irrelevant.....just like wilder is in the heavyweight mix.

Mayweather had no issues being the A side of the sport.

Nah, but okay. How about Shannon Briggs rising from the ashes like a phoenix and appearing on radio shows, getting interviews, traveling all over and being far more well known today than he was as a champion back in the day.
Briggs is black, American, and a bigger name than Wilder is. People know Briggs on the streets of America. All he has to say is, LET'S GO CHAMP!!!!

Wilder ain't stating a fact. Joshua CAME to the U.S. and got major love. So they can be compared to the fact that Anthony is bigger in the states than Deontay is. I'm a Wilder fan but facts is fact.

when margo barged in on Floyd's press conference and challenged him to a fight, I believe that was right after margo beat kermnit cintron (his best win at that point). hardly a prelude to a Floyd mega fight
