What do you guys got as a result on this fight? Been thinking about 7th or 8th round stoppage win for Spence myself. Peterson might do pretty well at the beginning
Tonight The Truth will demolish Peterson with the kind of body assault not seen since the Chavez and McCallum days. Spence will wreck Lamont so bad that Thurman will be boarding a plane to Katmandu/Nepal before Spence gets to the post fight presser and will retire from boxing to become a budhist monk. Still some room in this train jump on board and enjoy this ride. #MANDOWN #PrayForLamont #WreckingTrain #LastStopGreatness CHOO CHOO
Spence simply never needs to drastically adjust to his opponents style or offense. During the Brook fight Spence remained consistent and committed even when the fight was extremely close and Kell was seemingly outboxing Spence, Errol just kept attacking with precision and determination.
#MANDOWN !!! That was a clinic on how to break down an opponent. Peterson is a tough kid but he just had no answer for the Truth. Glad his corner call it off cause we could have seen a tragedy in there tonight. The Welterweight division is Shook,Thurman has just retired,Cherry Garcia is thinking about it, Arum will never let Crawford go anywhere near Spence. The only guy brave enough at 147 to go in there with Spence after witnessing the Chavezesque beating he put on Lamont is Porter but he stands no chance . If the Ginger wants some he can be next it doesnt matter if its at 160 and if the only judge is Adalaide Byrd or CJ Ross and the fight is on the Azteca Stadium hes getting wrecked too. This train is on a destruction path and nobody is going to stop it. Hop Aboard and Enjoy The Ride. CHOO CHOO
Was a good performance last night but lets hope he can be more active. To me he does look like the class operator at welterweight but he has a lot of good competition. Spence/Thurman needs to happen. I want to see how he deals with Thurman's aggression. When Brook backed him up he struggled and Thurman is bound to be the man forcing the pace and pushing Spence back. Can Spence break Thurman down like Brook or will he need to find a way to win off the back foot and if so can he adjust. Spence still needs to prove a lot, the Brook performance showed his strengths but also exposed some weaknesses.
Really? It wasn't impressive at all.....relying on your weight drained opponent to tire in order to put a dent in him isn't overly impressive to me.
Brook never lost a fight at 147 and was fighting in his back yard. Spence went in a took that belt like a boss after the 6th round he methodically beat the **** out a world class boxer, really.
It was impressive in regards to him going to the UK and getting the win and impressive in regards to him showing he wouldn't fold mentally if under pressure and when not on top. Spence won't be a push over for anyone. But it wasn't impressive in regards to those first 6 rounds, when he was being pushed back and out boxed. Spence has flaws that can be exploited he still has much to prove.
