Pavlik has beaten dangerous fighters who were in their prime. He did this by simply blasting them. Hatton caught a Fading star or two and has looked awful ever since. Pasty white is the only similarity and yes I buy Pavlik as an everyman more than I do Hatton whose shtik I find hokey and contrived

zuniga, mckart, zertuche! They are all limited bums. Why does Kelly get so much credit for these wins they are just equal to his victory over Gary Locket .

I wouldn't say Europeans, more just the Brits. It seems to me as long as they have Calzaghe to hang their hat on, it will be a constant barrage of **** talk from them.

:good I guess if they can't have the best heavyweight, the best middleweight will have to do? I like Pavlik but its laughable the way he's being lauded around here.

Considering what Pavlik did to Lockett, they actually appear to be higher quality wins than Lockett. Also, I don't think Pavlik gets a whole lot of credit for those wins. They were the wins (in devestating fashion) that got him a title shot. They are a hell of a lot more impressive than Hattons wins that got him a title shot against Tsyzu though. One, they were better opponents that Phillips, Tackie or Oliviera, and he knocked them the **** out, where Hatton had to settle for UD's against Tackie and Phillips.

In fact, what fight on Hattons record is there where he was fighting a legit top five fighter in his weight class and absolutely dominated and then knocked him out? Oh, that's right, it was Tsyzu quitting on his stool. And Tsyzu didn't fight again, and had also only fought 3 times in 3 years. And during that fight it was a wrestling match where Tsyzu wasn't really hurt during the fight, as he was gassed and frustrated over Hattons hometown cooking referee allowing holding and hitting, illegal blows, etc.

Lets face it, no matter who they put in front of Pavlik, he wins in devestating fashion, except for his UD against Taylor. Hatton doesn't KO people and dominate. He wrestles his way to controversial UD's.

Taylor is NOT overrated. It's that type of thinking that makes everything else you say questionable. If Taylor is so overrated, he'd have lost clearly to Hops and Winky. Unless they TOO are overrated. But if they are with their wins, perhaps Tito, DLH, and Shane are overrated too. And if they are....:lol:

YOu ask what he's done to get this type of adulation? How about winning his big fights impressively and also blowing away guys he's supposed to. He's a good, exciting young fighter. Not sure what your problem is with him. If you think he's overhyped, then the problem is yours and your only.

Now apply those criteria to Hatton and tell me why comparisions are so out of order?

Until Calzaghe beat Kessler who was afraid of Miranda, what the **** did he do to get all of his adulation?

He beat a guy with half as many fights as he did. Then later after he fought Kessler, he squeaked out a victory against an old ass Hopkins.

Pavlik has DONE WAY WAY WAY more than Calzaghe did when he was 26 years old.
