I just don’t share people confidence in Ortiz. Will he fail a drug test? Will he have heart attack on way to the ring? Has he lost it now he’s so old? Wilders athleticism alone should win him this against an old man but I picture this going similar to the original Wilder Stiverne fight.
Wilder is going to smash Ortiz around the ring then knock him out in the latter rounds...Ortiz will look every bit his age. Ive never understood the hype about him..he boring, slow, hasnt got a great deal of power..people just really want to see Wilder loose but its not going to happen in this fight.
I think Wilder will winnhus athletism and reach will be crucial in this fight though I think his chin will get tested v Ortiz. Fight shouldn't be happening with Ortiz mind he should be out banned.
I’m going against a few people I really respect on here, and saying that Wilder is going to beat him. I think he’s guilty of taking his eye off the ball with poor opponents, but there’s a fear factor when it comes to Ortiz. I like how Wilder uses his feet to get himself out of harms way instead of putting the guard up. I think he’s going to land a few big shots and stop Ortiz. He’s older than Highlander.
I think wilder probably wins... i think Ortiz last few performances have shown he isn’t at the same level as he once was. However I don’t think it’s a full gone conclusion and I hope Ortiz does have something left because I too will be putting money on him to KO Wilder.
Imo ortiz just wasn't motivated for scott and allen fights I say Ortiz wins by knockout wilder has to many flaws and his going against a fighter that will counter every mistake and has enough power to crack that chin wilder has been outboxed by fighters with low skill levels lol who left there chins out for wilder windmills
Ortiz may have been underpar against Scott and Allen but he won every round. Scott ran and Allen absorbs punishment better than most HWs. Meanwhile Wilder was still outboxed and down on points at the point of his KO against a Polish football hooligan.
If Ortiz makes it to the ring he wins but my worry is he won't get a pass to leave the old folks home.
Just to be clear, there is nothing at all to evidently prove Ortiz is 50, so if he loses I'm not going to be playing the age card
Old Man Ortiz is old, he needs his meds to continue, he needs his walker, needs the AARP to support him, had to set up camp in the nursing home, should come to the ring in a wheel chair, don't forget his blood pressure medicine, Lipitor, etc. Is he allowed to fight at such an age? Wilder will probably have him framed, Breazeale will be waiting to be called as a substitute as needed, he is owned by Haymon!
